Freee by Doves Farm Gluten Free Brown Bread Flour 1kg (Pack of 5)

I love me some bread, but unfortunately bread does not love me, for I sadly have a sensitivity to gluten. I guess if you're considering purchasing this flour you probably have a similar issue. It's nothing too severe for me, but gluten filled products definitely bloat me so I made the decision that I needed to minimize my intake of them. For me the easiest way to do that was to swap out my pasta and bread. I quickly found though that gluten free bread in the shops is both extremely expensive and not particularly tasty, which forced me into making my own. Having experimented with a few different ones i've found this Dove Farm brown bread flour to be by far my favourite. It's a bit of an acquired taste as it produces a fairly dense bread more similar to sourdough than regular bread, but the flavour is very good. The only real downside to me is the bread goes dry after a few days and has a tendency to fall to pieces. If you slice it and freeze it and then use it for toast instead of sandwiches though it works excellently. I enjoy it so much that it's difficult to live without now, so i'm always mortified on the odd occasion I run out of bags of flour. My local Tesco only stocks the white flour variety which is nowhere near as good to me, so i'm very thankful for Amazon has more options!

Doves Farm products are all FANTASTIC - you should try their brown rice pasta too. Gluten Free never tasted so good!! I should add that I bought this for my daughter who was suffering with digestive issues and so I turned to ~Doves Farm products. My daughter has discovered lots of GF recipes that to me taste just as good if not better than those made with wheat products. I now prefer GF pasta as it tastes so light. You almost feel angelic after having a plate of pasta - wow!

The flour is okay, but the price is high for the amount of flour and I won't be buying any more

Hard to find a brown gluten free bread flour, so I'm pleased that I was able to find this, hopefully it'll do a good job.

This product costs £1.70 in major supermarkets, I discovered too late, they deliver too. The actual bread is lovely, I made the milk roll recipe from the Doves Farm Recipe website with Allinson's easy yeast and Lactofree whole milk, made 8 teacakes that taste divine, even better with dried fruit or sultanas added.

Great taste. Easy to bake with in the bread machine. Great value 5 pack. I have tried plain and with seeds.
