Premium Salmon Oil for Dogs, Cats, Horses & Pets 1L, 100% Natural Norwegian Fish Oil with Omega, 3 High Level of EPA and DHA Fatty Acids, Barf Supplement

I've always given my dogs cod liver oil but decided to change to salmon oil when one of my dogs was diagnosed with a degenerative heart murmur in February. Having read that salmon oil was good for heart conditions I purchased a bottle of this oil in the hope that It may be of help to him and perhaps prevent it from worsening too quickly. I have been using it now for a month in all four of my dogs food and I have to say they are genuinely starting to look amazing. Their coats are softer and have taken on a beautiful blue hue shine ( all working black n white collies) It is also greatly appreciated by them all so it must also taste good. I probably give it three or four times a week and I still have half the bottle left after a month giving it to them so I think its an economic buy for the visual results I am seeing.

Salmon oil has improved our dogs' coats, always healthy and soft. Probably has other benefits for their general health, but it is difficult to judge. Not used this brand before, but the dogs love it and I'm sure it will be equally as effective as my previous brand, which has risen dramatically in price. It is 100% salmon oil and good value for money.

Dogs getting on with it well, no problem getting them to eat it. I keep it in the fridge as this will keep it fresher. Am going to give it to my pony next as he is on restricted grazing. Far better than linseed oil which is not high in EPA and DHA, despite what the linseed supplement companies tell you! No, horses do not eat fish as part of their natural diet, but neither is their diet natural when they are on restricted grazing and so getting reduced Omega 3.

My fussy border collie loves this salmon oil (he’s turned his nose up at others). He has a glossy coat which everyone comments on. Hopefully it helps his arthritic hips too.

I have taken 1 star off my review as I find it challenging to dispense the recommended 5-8 drops. I usually aim for 5 but end up adding approximately double that due to the dripping caused by the dosage aid supplied in the bottleneck. As the quantity needed for cats is minimal, the measuring cup is unfortunately useless so one must depend upon the built-in dispensing aid. Perhaps this could be improved which would earn the product its fifth star. Based upon the tiny recommended dosage for cats, this product offers very good value for money. I have been using this product for approximately one week and have observed a slight improvement in the quality of their fluffy coats. I would be delighted if it eased up some of the shedding which will soon occur since the weather has warmed up. One of my ragdolls also has very fine bone structure and it would be great if this helped to promote strong bones and a good constitution as stated.

I particularly like that this supplement comes from an animal protein source. Not only is it completely natural, but it's perfectly suited even to strict raw feeders that wouldnt want to deviate from animal proteins. The salmon oil itself contains essential fatty acids which can help with skin and coat condition and supports the joints amongst other benefits. My dog approves as well. He's a fussy little mite, but I think the nature of the supplement (animal source) makes it more appealing to him. I'm pretty sure he'd drink it like water if he could! The cat, who is currently nursing kittens also likes this and its helping to keep her in good condition while shes under such demands. She loves anything fishy, so naturally this is going down very well! The labelling is clear and the instructions east to understand. The bottle comes with a handy little measuring cap as well so its very easy to measure out and add to food. If I had to say something critical it would be that the bottle is a little difficult to handle when pouring (hardly though). This is because its made from a flexible plastic so if you're not careful its easy to squeeze it too much!

I bought the salmon oil in order to improve my new horse's general health. I tried the 1L can to see if my horse would take it (which he did without any problems). He's only been taking it for 3/52 so it's too early to report any noticeable changes. (except I like to think his coat is now super shiny) I'm confident enough in the product to have bought a 5L container as it is such good value for money and all my animals willingly eat it mixed with their food. I decant from the 5L into a 1L container in order to manage dispensing the oil without spills or waste.
