This ceramic hob works well for me and is easily portable.

Works so well, safe and hears quickly
The buttons stay cool, unlike another burner I bought in which knobs got so hot (which is dangerous). No smokiness or smell of burning when used either. Heats quickly (just like my stove), and adjustable so you can cook at a lower temp as well. Easy to use and just the right size.
