Functional addition to my tripod was just a bit shorter than I was expecting, so if you are looking for a long boom arm, this might be too short unless your tripod has different leg degree settings to allow you to get low to the ground.I use this for macro and was looking for a tripod with a boom arm, this was cheaper than buying a whole new tripod and works for its intended purpose. It is solid, has a bag hook and a ball-head mount but no ball-head just so you know.

Versatile and sturdy piece of kit and good value

I buy a lot of gear from K&F. I think it well-made for the price and this is no exception. However, I do find that it's difficult to tighten up the screw clamps so that the camera doesn't slowly move under it's own weight. I am using an Olympus OM1 so it's not a particularly heavy camera.In fairness, that's partly my problem as I've arthritis in my fingers. Even then, it would still have been nice if the screw clamp at the pivot point was designed to allow you to exert a bit more force without exerting so much effort.

It's a boom arm, but it doesn't have the capability to hold a modern DSLR, the gear mechanism in the head is plastic, so the pole slips with very little weight

30 cm sind nicht sehr lang, aber ausreichend für "senkrecht nach unten" zB für Reprozwecke oder um mal "um die Ecke" aus dem Fenster zu fotografieren.Wichtig: den eingebauten Haken für ein Gegengewicht verwenden; dies für einen "Draußen-Einsatz" entsprechend vorbereiten und vorher ausprobieren.Die Traverse wird teilweise zerlegt geliefert und muss zusammengebaut werden. An sich kein Problem - allerdings ist die Anleitung (auch die im Web) verbesserungsbedürftig: es sind nicht einmal alle Bauteile aufgeführt und Abbildungen zeigen abweichende Teile.Die Traverse hat eine Nut, der zentrale Flansch hat allerdings keine Nase. Ich hatte dennoch bisher an dieser Stelle keine Verdreh-Probleme. Da wäre eher der Adapter zur Mittelsäule verdächtig: Dieser ist meiner D850 mit Zoom (1,9 kg) nur so gerade eben gewachsen - beim Gesamtgewicht ist eben auch das Gegengewicht zu berücksichtigen.

Superior quality

Très bien. Je trouvais le bras court mais c'est la longueur qu'il faut. Ça tient bien l'appareil à l'horizontale. Attention, au premier essai j'avais beau serrer ça ne bloquait pas du tout. Et puis je me suis aperçue qu'il y a une rondelles de carton insérée dans les dentelures pour les protéger. On ne la voit pas, elle n'est pas mentionnée dans la notice. Une fois cette rondelle retirée tout est nickel. J'ai fixé ce bras sur un mini pied Sirui pour faire des photos à plat sur une table.

I have had this for over a year now. I love it. My filming game has gone up another level since I purchased this item. This is great for doing cooking videos and any overhead photography or filming. Just don't attach it to a flimsy tripod because it will fall over and damage your filming gear. Be warned. I only use it on a very sturdy tripod and it works great.
