This umbrella is lovely colours - the combination of silver on the outside and beige on the inside is very attractive. The bright gold spokes and the gold-and-black handle are blingier than I would usually choose, but I still like the look very much.Functionality is all important, and the UV protection is UPF 50+, which means it’s ideal for protection against the damaging sun’s rays. It’s also effective at keeping you cool in the sun - the umbrella has a large span (see the product details for dimensions) and I was surprised how much cooler I felt under its shade.I haven’t been able to put it to the test in windy wet conditions yet. I see that they claim it to be windproof.For me there’s a couple of downsides:-it feels quite weighty: it weighs 388 grams without the sleeve. I think for carrying something around in the heat I’d like something lighter. But it’s understandable to need some weight for a multi purpose umbrella/sunshade.-It’s not automatic, and it’s quite stiff to put up, also (to a lesser extent) to put down. It reminds me of struggling with putting up umbrellas when I was a child, and being scared I’d trap my fingers! This may ease with use. It wouldn’t put me off buying it.Worth saying it looks nothing like as pristine as the product images, as the silver outer material is very creased (see my photos) and I’m not sure that’s ever going to smooth out? But I love the colours anyway. It also comes in a nice sleeve, which makes it good for gift giving.For me personally, the current price of £21.99 is a bit steep, but it’s nice looking and really does work in the sun.

First one wouldn't stay up as no pin so returned and ordered another as good reviews so thought I may have just been unlucky. Second one just arrived, exactly the same. As useful as a chocolate teapot!!!

What a fantastic umbrella, if you are looking for a strong, sturdy and protective umbrella, look no further. Not only does it perform great, it looks visually lovely.The umbrella arrives in a protective sleeve with a shoulder strap to make it easy to travel around with this, which is also comfortable to wear and walk in. Taking the umbrella out of the sleeve, the umbrella exterior has a sleek waterproof material with a velcro clasp to keep the umbrella together and once you release that you are ready to open.To open the umbrella there is an automatic opener where you simply push a button and the umbrella pops open, no more messing around trying to put an umbrella up in the wind, this is such a joy to not worry about. The hand is rounded which Is smooth and easy to hold and the end of the umbrella is rubber which could be used the assist walking.The spindles in the umbrella are strong and add a pop of red colour to add a touch of style. I am really impressed, this is lightweight but strong and so much easier to use than other umbrellas, fantastic value.

This is well designed to keep the sun at bay.The canopy is a double layer. The topmost surface of the top layer is reflective reducing how much heat can get through. Both interior surfaces are matt black reducing the penetration of sunlight even more.It folds like a ordinary umbrella but is a little bulkier. The interior spokes are a pretty rose gold. It does come with a cover but I found it difficult to fold and repack into the case.

I really like my new umbrella! I got the beige/silver one and it’s a soft-toned metallic finish on the outside with a muted matte lining on the underside. Looks really classy and luxe. The material is thick and resilient and the whole umbrella (fabric, handle and spring mechanism) has a sturdy, reassuringly robust feel to it.It’s not an automatic umbrella if that’s what you’re looking for (it doesn’t say anywhere in the description that it should be...) but I think the manual open/close actually feels very smooth and is easy to grip, press and push/pull (some of the umbrellas I’ve used in the past have felt quite stiff and tough by comparison).Personally I think this is an excellent umbrella; it's strong, easy to open/close and looks premium - I really like the look of the soft metallic fabric.
