Can you use these in a flatbed microwave?

Can not see this being a problem, the plate warmers do not need to rotate heat up. BTW they are a good you won't regret getting them. JS

Is this bad for the microwave? I always thought you shouldn’t microwave anything without water molecules because it damages the microwave?

As the warmers are designed to heat plates in the microwave I imagine that they do not do any damage. I have used this kind of plate warmer for many years and have not done any damage to my microwave - not to my knowledge, anyway.

Hi, I see you have a lot of confusing answers. The three heated warmers can be stacked together and used as either a tabletop hotplate or as a heated place setting. Whilst the primary purpose may be plate warming they can also have a secondary application as above. Regards James Connolly

What diameter is the effective heating area?

150mm is the diameter of the mats. The plates will be warmed outside this area by convection. This is the hot area.
