Fissler vitaquick pressure cooker 4,5 L / Ø 22 cm

We bought a 4.5 litre Fissler Vita quick pressure cooker from a german supplier Neuret and received the product very promptly,and well packaged. The Fissler is a superb German technology, efficient, user friendly, easy to clean and with some helpful safety features too. Its capacity is more than adequate for us, a family varying between 2 to 6 people; it takes a little getting used to since we use it for regular cooking of rice where exact timing is essential to get a perfect result. The pressure cooker saves time, energy and preserves the taste and quality of food very well. We enjoy using it.

Now our meals are cooked in a short time and are quite safe.

Really excellent pressure cooker. Loses very little steam, easy to use.

Tricky to seal. You watch it come up to temperature and see steam coming out of the handle for a very long time. If you wiggle the handle (which should be tightly closed but still moves) you get it to seal more quickly. This is an intermittent problem, sometimes it just seals really quickly. Another intermittent problem seems to be a drip from the lid when everything is up to pressure and cooking, it has happened on two separate occasions but does not seem to affect cooking, just leaves a wee puddle on the cooker. All of the above could only lose the PK one star because it is a lovely piece of kit and cooks food beautifully. Get it up to temp and then immediately turn it down to the lowest setting ( this on the middle sized gas ring ) sometimes I have to move it to the smallest ring in order to stop it exceeding the second white line. Easy to saute meats, and then click the lid on and pressurise. I bought the Ekovana steel pans for making Pot In Pot porridge and it's amazing, the consistency of rice pudding :) You can even make cheesecake !

We recently dug out our old "hissing, careful how you walk across the kitchen" pressure cooker after a long time and thought may be we should try a new one. We found a really well presented buying guide online which explained the benefits of the different features and suggested the Fissler as top of the heap if you could afford it. Of course this was an American video and not being familiar with the brand expected it to be even more expensive if we had to import it. We were pleasantly surprised to find it is a German make and available here. We now use our Fissler pressure cooker regularly, it is a pleasure to use, the food tastes fantastic, and its worth every penny. If you are thinking about a new pressure cooker you won't be disappointed with this one - or maybe the larger model if you have a big family!

Number one cooker, every kitchen deserve this product.

We have had nothing but problems from the start with this product, within 6 months we had our cooker replaced under warranty, due to cooker not holding the pressure. Than just after 2 years( just out of the warranty) we complained to Amazon and to Fissler, sending many emails and photos to provide evidence of a small plastic part that broke, within the handle (from the heat and pressure of cooker) We probably did not use the cooker more than 20 times in the 2 years. We were told it was out of warranty and had to order a whole new handle at an obscene cost. They did not have available a 1" plastic faulty part so we were expected to pay for a whole handle. (Approx £50) A high end cooking that costs near to £150 should be fit for purpose and have expectancy of at least 3-5 years without problems. Warranty or not. Also Fisslers spare parts on their website are really expensive. Stay clear from Fissler. We have had another smaller cheaper pressure cooker for over 10 years and never had problems with it. Fissler need to provide an improved product/ reliable product and ensure customer services listen to genuine customer complaints.

This pressure cooker saves time and it is very quiet. It is so easy to use only one click when you turn the handle. When you see the white circle on the button you slow the heat and thats all. Your cooking tome will decrease 50%. I liked this size( 3 lt) because I have a nucleus family and this size is perfect for us.It can also be washed in the dishwasher and easy to clean.

Pentola a pressione di ottima fattura , funziona con tutti gli strumenti di cottura . Io la uso con piano ad induzione Bosch e si integrano perfettamente , nessun problema nella gestione dell'elettronica e cotture rapide e precise , se si rispettano i dosaggi dei liquidi consigliati si po' replicare una cottura dopo l'altra della stessa pietanza ottenendo sempre lo stesso risultato. Sembra una banalità ma non lo è affatto , è segno che pressioni e sfiati agiscono sempre in maniera precisa e rigorosa . Materiali di qualità e sistema di chiusura affidabile . Il sensore con evidenziazione dei colori a seconda della temperatura e pressione raggiunti all'interno permette anche di andare sul sicuro con i tempi e lo sfiato automatico permette anche di distrarsi un attimo.... In effetti concordo con chi fa notare che per il prezzo di vendita un cestello in più per la cottura a vapore ( 13 euro in vendita su Amazon .. ) ci stava nella confezione . Faccio notare comunque che in un noto negozio della mia zona la stessa pentola viene venduta a 55 euro in più ...

So beautifully simple to use. So far big enough for everything, including a leg of lamb. Have used it with the minimum liquid level and it didn’t come close to drying out. The only slight drawback: it said it could be washed in the dishwasher, which was a selling point for us, but you have to take the handles off first. Who can be bothered? Good thing is, It’s really easy to clean. Simple, solid, and saving us hours already. Love it.

Me gusta la capacidad que tiene, adecuada para cocinar grandes cantidades o guisos voluminosos. Es fácil de usar y limpiar. Una buena olla.

Pratique et cuisson très rapide comparé aux autres cocottes

Je cherchais une cocotte qui ne faisait pas de bruit pendant la cuisson, et je suis entièrement satisfait. Il faut bien lire la notice pour comprendre qu'il faut réduire la puissance du feu à moitié voire moins pour ne plus entendre le sifflement "bruyant" des cocottes-minute classiques. Ps. Il faut prendre en compte que la vapeur ne sort plus, donc réduire la quantité d'eau initiale. Je recommande ce produit pour tous ceux qui cherche une cuisson rapide, sans odeur, économique (cuisson à feu doux) et SANS bruit.
