Film Listography: Your Life in Movie Lists

As someone who loves making out lists, I have enormously enjoyed the excuse offered by this book to make them out on all manner of film questions - not just favourite films from different time bands, but headings like: 'List film stars you'd like to date' and 'List your great movie-watching experiences' ... as well as other equally intriguing ones like movie sets you'd want to live on, books you'd like to see adapted, subjects you'd like to see made into a film, and even unforgettable death scenes. All of these are interesting to think about, and with some, where you wouldn't normally want to make a list at all, it is often possible to surprise yourself once you rummage through your memories. Each list has a page with some partial lines, facing a watercolour illustration of the theme that very often is something that gives a lot of pleasure to look at. It is an excellent book and ideal as a present for the right person!

I was devastated to lose my first copy so finally after searching the house top to bottom I'd buy a new one! Really great fun book, movie lovers will get alot of enjoyment out of it. It also comes with lots of blank list space in the back so you can make up your own lists or like me make other lists even longer (I cannot keep my movie quotes list down to just one page, simply can't).

I bought this as a present for a film-loving friend. He and his baby daughter share the same birthday and I thought it would make a great gift - something he could fill in and then one day pass to her. (At the same time I bought the Music Listography book - just as much fun as this one.) I couldn't help but have a sneaky flip through the book before I wrapped it up and immediately put in a second order so that I had a copy as well.

Great book, beautiful illustrations. I love filling this in with all my favourite movies

Fun talking or reflecting tool. Made a cheap but fun stocking filler at Christmas. I have also bought the sister books for music, family and general life recording.

Everything was as it should be and it took only 6 days for the book to arrive! Im really satisfied!

Difficult to rate as was a present

This has kept me busy for hours and I still haven't finished filling it all in! I've actually had to do some research as I don't know all the dates of films off by heart.

I love list and I just love movies! If you're like me than this book is for you. I love it, every part of it but i especially loved all the illustrations.

I bought this book for my cinephile boyfriend for Christmas. He takes it everywhere now. He wants the rest of the list books. Definitely a good choice.

Lo compré como un regalo y a mi amiga le encantó. El material es bueno y las ilustraciones son muy divertidas, hacen referencia a muchas películas clásicas o de culto. El tamaño es mediano, por lo que no es un libro muy práctico para llevar de un lado a otro.

Excellent gift for movie lovers. It's not exactly a book, it's more like a notebook with wonderful illustrations related with the cinema where you can note your favourite movies in lists like your favourite movies of the eighties, the movies you stepped out of, etc. There's also a Music Listography for music lovers.
