CTEK Multi MXS 10 10A 12V 8-Stage Battery Charger Conditioner, Sky, Black

My 2016 VW Touareg discharges its 95ah AGM battery in about 3 weeks if left unused. I tried a couple of other chargers (3.8A) which did not charge the battery to more than 50%, even after being connected for a few days. I did some research and as a result decided to purchase the CTEK MXS10. It charged the battery to full within 8 hours. So it does what it says it will do and without any fuss whatsoever. So even though I thought it to be VERY expensive, I am happy with it as I will no longer have problems with the Touareg's battery discharging. I will leave the MXS10 looking after the battery permanently when the car is not in use.Also, the battery on the Touareg is fairly new - I kept the old battery (which was replaced because it was thought to be faulty) and used the MXS10 on that - it is now fully charged and ready to go, so I have a spare battery should I ever need it.Highly recommended.

Flat battery... no problem (not any more!)I bought this because I was tired of being sold a new battery every time my car wouldn't start. With so many influences reducing how often I go out in my car, I expect this to happen more often.I paid the price for this CTEK because it knows all the 'engineering' requirements to check my battery, test if it will take a charge, and go ahead and charge it up ... all without me having to do anything more than plug it in, and let it get on with it!If the battery really is defunct, it will tell me so, otherwise I just check it periodically to see if it has finished charging yet. It doesn't seem to take long.I've used it twice so far in situations where it would have taken hours for (expensive) help to arrive, and in both instances I was on the road with a fully charged battery just a couple of hours later than expected.The instructions are easy to understand, and follow. I am happy to recommend this CTEK.I also purchased the extension cable, and the storage case to keep everything together. It all fits in the case, and the extension lets me keep the CTEK inside a locked gate while the battery is being charged in the car. Security and peace of mind.

I originally bought a charger from halfords that a display on the front if it, but this kept stopping with error codes as well as having a noidy fan. That was an emergency purchase as I had a low battery warning in my 4 year old AGM battery in my BMW. I decided to do some research and chanced upon the CTEK products. I would have preferred a charger with an LED screen that could show me the voltage but was swayed by the overwhelmingly positive comments on Amazon and various forums. I decided to go for the 10 amp version.The product arrived with comprehensive instructions. I unboxed it and set it to work. There is no noise fan to annoy you and the charger went about its business running through each charge cycle without fuss. After a number if hours the charger went onto its battery maintain cycle so I took it off and packed it up.Initially I thought I would have to replace my battery due to its age, but this charger has brought it back to life and I have had no further low battery warnings and using a scan tool I can see that my battery voltage is holding up very well. I watched a lot of reviews of this product before buying it.It is said it will triple the battery life. So it will pay for itself on a single battery over a few years.It is very easy to use. Plug in and go if you just want the 'descaling and charge funtion. It charges my 85 Amp hour battery very fast indeed.If you want the battery reconditioning it is a one button press. Manufacturer recommends use this about once a year. It took my battery about 20 hours to go through this conditioning cycle.For those with 'domestic' battery banks on a boat or in a motorhome this is a superb buy. It charges at a full 10A during the bulk cycle so expect to get a 200Amp Hour battery bank at 50% discharge up to full in under 18 hours. Possibly 15 hours.Oh, and there is an analysis cycle which checks the batteries ability to hold charge and warns if the battery is nearing the end of its life.Good kit.

The charger arrived at about midday, and I have never been able to complain or have any issues with condition on delivery. I have the charger going through it’s paces as I write this . If there are any issues I will edit the revue. The item is doing it’s job and I hope that it give long service . I have two cars stop/start modern mini and a older version so I am happy to say it works for both cars . It’s tidy and powerful . My next purchase will be an extension for it and maybe the cig adaptor . The older car is not being used a great deal and I want to keep a eye on its charge . It has bought back the calcium battery so far and I have to charge the standard led one after but will my other charger to start it off and then switch after . Let’s hope the renowned selector button doesn’t crash on me . If so I won’t be happy . All good so far fingers crossed. It’s on gassing at the Moment on recon on a calcium battery and going well . I didn’t need to buy a new battery after all but did a while ago . Magic charger well worth it

Good charger, but failed to revive a battery at 7.7v.Left connected to a rarely used car, with good visuals of where the battery is in the charging sequence.

With our cars being used less during lockdowns they are suffering from flat batteries. I bought this for my wife's Jaguar XKR which is mostly electronic. When the battery goes flat the doors won't open so it's impossible to get to the battery (which is behind the seats and in the boot) without the emergency key etc etc... It's a pain.I used the kit included with the charger and hard-wired the socket to the battery. A bit fiddly but not difficult. So now, if the car isn't being used the charger can just be plugged in to the socket in the boot and it keeps the car electrics in perfect working order.This is not a cheap charger, but I wanted the best one for the job and this company (CTEK) apparently make the branded chargers for many of the high-end marques. To buy the same charger with a Jag badge on it is considerably more money.It does a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if needed.

Great charger compact and functional

This battery charger also provides a 12 volt output for testing components that I have found to be an excellent tool - you don't have to find a car battery to do the job. An excellent versatile product reasonably priced

this charger was unable to charge any of batteries, regular non smart chargers were able but this one after 24h running showed no result.

The plug supplied with unit is a two pin plug which is not suitable for Ireland or UK.The point of origin seems to have been Poland.I’m sure it is an excellent charger but I’m unable to use it due to the latter issue.
