What do you require to cut this to size?

Very easy to cut. Any tool that cuts wire. We used ordinary pliers with cutting facility.No problem at all!!

Can I attach this to 3foot chain link with cable ties ? Or would I need a 6 foot trellis/fence?

Yes you can, it would depend though on how "floppy" your chain link fence is, as to how taut it will look, I put ours on a trellis, then fixed that to our lower level fence, but that was because we get fairly strong winds and ours is like double height and over quite a length and i wanted it to look as taut as possible. Be aware though though, although think well made it is like on thinn-ish wire so you can't wring the neck out the cable ties or stretch it to hard. HTH

Is it possible to trim the height, also can you fold it around corners?

I didn’t have to reduce height. But can’t see any reason why you can’t trim the height. Just use a decent wire cutter. Yes, you can fold it around corners without much effort.
