Lovely rich neutral red colour
I'm a big fan of these PITT pen sets. I always have my black set on hand, and I snap up these different coloured sets when ever I see them. The ink lays down dense and smooth, no messing around, and these give a nice variation in line weight with pressure (more variation than you get from Micron pens). This is 'Sanguine' colour. It's a bit less red than I was expecting, and I'd probably just think of it as a sepia. It looks great for line art, giving a soft and sophisticated look in comparison to a plain black drawing. It is rich enough to look like something a bit different, but it is still neutral enough not to jump out as a 'coloured ink'.

Most excellent drawing pens
I love these pens. They are just the right colour, along with the sepia pens from the same company, if you are fed up with black as a drawing colour. Additionally, as long as you let them dry properly - and it isn't instantaneous, they will be pretty waterproof when dry. I say pretty waterproof because I have found some harder papers (like some cartridge papers) will loose a little tiny bit of colour if they get really wet. But that is minor and they come as throughly recommended and much cheaper here than your local art shop.

An interesting colour from the best brand of pen out there
These pens are my favourite make of pen in the whole wide world. They write beautifully, draw even better, keep a constant colour tone throughout their use. They tend not to bleed on paper, and are the only ones I will use on my Moleskin notebook (I'm a slight perfectionist when it comes to stationary!). They are stated as archive worthy and fade proof, and I certainly have never seen any degradation or fading from my writings and drawings, The colour of these pens is a bit less red than in the picture, more orange. Still a nice colour, useful to add tones to sepia drawing or writing notes. I can't recommend these brand of pens enough, although you might want to try the sepia pens for a more natural looking drawing, but to add some fun colour to your sketches try these!

Sanguine drawing pens that are just the right colour
To be used with Sanguine pencils and just the right colour to build up a base colour to over draw to add texture.

Very good quality
Very good quality pens. I truly love them. The color is absolutely vivid and reminds you of old renaisance sketches. Match this with the sepia pack, too.

Very disappointed in this and the black set of pens too
Very disappointed in this and the black set of pens too. These were dry with little moisture. one wouldn't work at all on opening and I am very picky about making sure my tops are firmly in place when storing. The colour was nice and the feel of the pens in my hand was good. I have only one left as 2 more dried in a very short time without any real use. Im just left with the brush........ Sad really as this make is great and I buy many of their products.

Highly recommended
The colour came out darker (browner) than I expected it to be, but I love these pens. Good range of nib thickness and good quality waterproof ink for all sorts of artwork. GREAT pens!
