Paid for itself in 3/4's of a day!
You can't go wrong with the 2-year warranty for domestic use or even the 6-month warranty for professional use. The plastics are understandably a bit on the cheap side but sturdy enough and, I think it comes with the 20" bar because, if/when you bury it up the hilt, the heat of the exhaust starts melting the plastic chain-brake a bit. This is probably due more to the fact that the metal and technology used for the 2-stroke motor is obviously cheaper than a Husky or Sthil, causing the chainsaw to run slightly hotter than its more expensive competitors. This is no big deal though as even with a couple of inches clearance to allow sufficient exhaust flow, you still have 18" to play with (so to speak). It's a great little saw, the chain hasn't required sharpening yet after 1x fell and sned, along with a good few hours of cross-cutting and, along with the bar, feels where the best quality has been used by the manufacturer (which in my book are the most important parts for stress-free operation). Cuts nice and straight and the 62cc engine is more than adequate for most jobs, hasn't snagged or got pinched/stuck yet as a result. Comes with a great manual, very easy to use/understand. All the safety features are present and fully functional and the saw is both aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically designed. At the end of the day, it paid for itself after 3/4 of a days' work! that's is a win in my opinion. Much better than spending 4x the value of this saw, on an old beat up second hand 346. Having said that though, it is a case of 'horses for courses', as if you have the money to spend on a brand new Husky or Sthil then it too will pay for itself by lasting for well over a decade if used and maintained correctly. However after the warranty runs out on one of those saws, it's going to cost you money. where as the price of this saw will avoid that scenario for you. If like me however and money's a bit tight, then look no further. Hope this helps.

Very well made, performs faultlessly and although much cheaper than 'well known' brands, does the same job just as well.
Next day delivery as promised, assembled in less than 1 hour. Had difficulty starting initially but after priming and allowing the fuel to make it's way through the Carburetor and waiting a few minutes, it now starts faultlessly each and every time. A few tips; when starting from cold, pull the choke fully out, give the starter cord a few tugs, choke back in and away you go. It performs very well, goes through wood like a knife to butter. An added bonus of course is the extra spare chain. After running out of fuel the 1st time, I checked the oil level which was now half empty so be aware of this and top up the oil when refuelling. Also, be aware of the chain going slack quite quickly at the beginning; don't forget to loosen both nuts before taking up the slack by turning the adjustment screw clockwise or otherwise you will not be able to complete the task. I bought this Chainsaw after reading other people's reviews and it's only fair I return the compliment and give my own feedback. This is a very good investment, a bargain price compared to 'well known' brands which I think are well overpriced. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others, buy it, like me, you will not be disappointed!

Absolute p.o.s. steer well clear off!
Got of to a bad start trying to put the guard back on properly. Seems that the tension mechanism, which is made out of plastic, was all pranged and I therefore could not adjust the tightening belt to fit around the wheel above the sprocket. Impossible to fix. Ended up having to rip the tightening belt out altogether just in order to get the guard back on, and then when trying to start the damn thing up for the first time, the power cord got jammed (no doubt another low quality plastic mechanism getting pranged........I cut my losses at that point. Bought this years ago but never got around to checking it out until I had a use for it. Turns out it is absolutely useless. Too late for a refund now I guess. Lesson learned......don't ever buy cheap crap. I am sure that the majority of these machines are not total factory rejects like the one I got, but that is the thing with Chinese manufacturing. No quality control. They only care about quantity.

Good chainsaw but starting is unusual
I have given this five stars as it is a good chain saw for this price especially as it comes with spare chain and carry bag. However, like other reviewers, I found starting to be an art. The instructions say pull the choke fully out then pull the starter cord until engine fires then release choke and pull the cord again. I found that with the choke out it never fired. So after an hour of trying I stopped and left it over night. Next day I tried again. This time one pull with the choke out, no response, release choke, apply full throttle, pull starter cord again, started straight away. Made slightly tricky as I was using my left hand to hold the chainsaw still and my right to pull the starter cord, meaning I needed an extra hand for the throttle. Slightly tricky but I got there in the end. Having mastered the starting technique it starts first time every time. It has plenty of power and breezed through all I asked it to do.

Amazing saw for the price
This saw has plenty pf power though the chain seems to have taken no time to blunt. When chain was new cut through foot thick lodgepole pine windfall in a few seconds with ease. Saw seems good enough quality but the chain has definately lost its edge in less than a tank of fuel. My one gripe is that the starting chord broke after a very short time - maybe it got damaged - I'm not sure. I have replaced it but despite not being right on the recoil mechanism (ie the cord does not retract far enough to give a decent pull) the saw starts no bother on a short pull in about 6 degrees C temperature. So far I'd say it is a real bargain and if it carries on working as has done I will be very pleased with this item.

I was a bit startled with reviews talking about assembly and 30 mins to do it but it's only a case of attaching the spike and then putting the bar and chain in place. You're going to have to do the bar and chain bit every so often anyway so not a problem. I got it started eventually; it took me 10 mins or more of pulling the cord. It didn't help that the cord mechanism kept just seizing up and needed coaxing to free up. I've just finished first job or rather, I haven't because it stalled and I couldn't restart it because it jammed up again - so I'll have another go tomorrow.I had a couple of McCulloch chain saws both of which did this and then bought a Husquvarna which was good enough until some of the metal surround of the pulley came off and wrapped itself inside the chain guard cover. So you have a choice I think - cheap and cheerful - good enough but don't expect much in the way of long term use, or go upmarket and pay lots of money - and hope you get a good long life out of it. So yes, it's OK but easy start? No!

Super saw !
Ordered this after my electric chainsaw (why did I bother with it ? ) , died . Went with this model after reading good reviews , Amazon quoted 3 weeks delivery to my dismay . I called the supplier , very helpful and said amazon were just covering their backsides and the saw would go out on monday . Got it on Tuesday ! Assembling it was a bit of an arse as some idiot hadn't released the chain -brake , (err..me..Doh !) I was then able to remove the side plate and fit the chain and bar . Note , it may pay you to work the worm gear of the tensioner to ensure ease of travel before you fit plate to saw , as mine was really stiff and I had to remove the plate again and do that before it would work . Not a problem now , just a bit 'new' Fuelled it up as per instructions , take a few pulls with choke out when staring from scratch , but once it fires , release the choke as you don't need it again ever ,until it has been left overnight or for a long period . I have used a few chain saws and this is as good as any of them ! Goes through big trunks , 12|"diameter no problem . Make sure you follow the tips on turning big trunks that are supported at both ends , and cutting from both sides to avoid pinching the chain bar as the gap closes , keep the saw vertical in the cut , not twisted , and it will go through anything with ease . From new , I found I had to adjust the chain tension a few times , but settled now . I also went for premium grade petrol for starting ease , don't know it it make that much difference , but as it uses so little , I thought ihang the expense .Starts easily , cuts anything asked of it , and comes with loads of stuff , mixing bottle for 2-stroke , tool kit , chain guard , even a carry bag that encloses the whole saw . Impressed is an understatement . 5 star machine N.B ......Two days of serious log-cutting and stacking later , the saw is performing superbly , sadly , my body not so . Can only re-iterate my praise of this saw and also mention that it comes with TWO chains - one and a spare . Now where's the deep -heat ...............

Great for an average Joe. (+ start instructions)
Purchased a year ago to tackle 3 tree's approximately 15" in Width for each, which for an Amature is a sizeable girth and a lot of wood! This thing chopped them all like Chicken, no problem and the chain still seems fine to me. I did get frustrated trying to start it for the first and had to trawl forums and reviews for advise so feel it's my duty to pass on the help. Had no problem starting it every time since. Here's how, I hope this works for you; (assuming you have the correct mixture in, chain oil and chain tension) put the Chainsaw on flat ground and put your foot in the handle to secure it, leave the chain protector sleeve on and make sure the black plastic chain stop guard is pushed forward away from the handle. (The chain won't go around with this engaged) Then turn the switch to on (1) then pull the blue choke out, then push the priming bulb thing around 10 times which should get the petrol flowing. Then give the pull cord 3 big fast pulls with around 2 seconds in between. Then push the choke back in and repeat the 3 big fast pulls. Hopefully your saw will of growled into life on the last pull if not before. I've just tried this procedure and it did indeed start on the 3rd big pull (I also started it with the black plastic chain stop guard pulled towards the handle as many people have advised). Maybe it might take a few more on the first start up? Remove sleeve and pull chain stop guard towards handle then blip trigger for faster heart rate, the more you press the wider your eyes get!! Seriously though I'd also advise to watch YouTube before attempting to cut any tree's and also view injuries as these machines are radobulously dangerous if not used correctly not to mention the sometimes unpredictable way branches can fall. If you decide to bag this animal rather than paying double for a well known brand, do your limbs a favour and get safety equipment too. If not, pay a pro to come and do it. If you're like me and like to 'have a go' then this Chainsaw won't disappoint.
