Artisan Owl Labrador Marionette Puppet - Yarn Dog with Wooden Feet, Detachable Strings (Brown)

This is a precious little dog for anyone who loves marionette / puppet shows. everyone loves “walking” it around and hearing their little foot steps. Easy to use and the strings do not tangle easily. Very sweet face. Love it!

A fun little dog, it was a hit at my daughter’s (7) birthday party

I work with a lot of puppets and marionettes and my young grandson really wanted me to add this to our collection as he has 'real labs'. It is a cute pup - but there are two areas that would greatly improve the controls 1) The strings just slide into a groove with a small knot at the top. This means that the strings also just slide out of the groove and that the knot can be pulled through the opening. Recommend securing the strings in place with a dab of glue at opening and a much bigger knot on top 2) There is only one string for the back. In order to have better movement of dog's hind legs - I believe a better design would be to have separate strings for each of the hind legs as they do for the front legs. Still - it's a cute marionette and fairly easy to manipulate for young puppeteers.

My 7 and 10 year old grandsons loved these (golden retriever and husky dog marionettes) and put on a puppet show for the family at Christmas. The strings can get tangled but we found it's easiest to remove the string at the top, untangle, then reattach. Great value.

Very easy to use and looks much cuter in person. I appreciate that the strings can be easily disconnected if they get tangled. My daughter is having a lot of fun with it!
