Rich and delicious
These are one of my very favorite cookies hands down and since I don't eat many, they are a treat. Not many make pfeffernusse with anise, these do! It's really all I can do to wait til Thanksgiving to buy a couple bags but they never last til Christmas! Yearly tradition that I'm forever tempted to make a daily treat. Excellent with coffee, hot cocoa, tea or even apple cider, hot or cold.

My favorite of all Pfeffernusse cookies
Tried several different varieties of pfeffernusse cookies. Wicklein was hands down the best of all! Love that they have a nice soft center; cookie melts in your mouth.

Arrived all crumbled up.
The flavor of the edible pieces was OK, but there were only a couple of whole cookies, not enough to be able to serve. They were sent in an envelope, not a protective box for delicate cookies. Very inappropriate.

Most cookies were broken.
Well packaged and very tasty, but bag looked like it was already crushed when Amazon packed it to send to.me.

Came Crushed
While I love the cookies, they came absolutely flattened after they were put in a bag for shipping. I bought some of these in Germany during a Christmas visit and they are exactly the same as what I got there.

Best cookies I ever had. I love that they have the anise in them. These are authentic and taste great. They are a little pricey, but well worth the money.

Wicked good
The taste reminds me of the Pfefferneuse my grandmother used to make. It’s very tasty! Nothing can ever compare to Grandma’s, but this is the closest I’ve found. :-)
