The arm is STURDY...OMG!! DURABLE...OMG! And, SO professional looking! I have put it together 1st day I got in with my AD600 and 48 inch (heavy) softbox on a metal C-stand and the arm did not even blink! Took it like a champ and held that up for as long as I wanted it to. If I have a need for a 2nd one or 3rd, I would NOT hesitate to order another! Very please with product and seller! Oh and despite what other may say, it's weighted, sure...I would HOPE so, to hold large, and heavy gear, but it is NOT unwieldy! Just buy it and enjoy it!

This heavy-duty boom arm turned out to be a seriously good piece of studio gear. The moment I mounted it onto my C-stand, I could feel the stability. It extends smoothly from 3.6ft all the way to 8.2ft, and the locking points hold tight without slipping — even with heavier modifiers. For softboxes, strobes, LED panels, and reflectors, this thing handles it all without flexing or sagging. The included sandbag is a big plus. Once you fill it and hang it on the tail end, the whole setup feels balanced and secure. No wobble, no nervous checking every five minutes. It stays in place exactly the way a boom arm should. Adjusting angles is easy too. The knobs are solid, the tightening feels secure, and the aluminum alloy tubing doesn’t twist under load. You can tell it was built with actual working photographers in mind — not cheap, flimsy hardware that pretends to be “pro.” What I love most is the freedom it gives in lighting setups. Amateur beauty photographer - I purchase this boom arm because of the sand bag attachment hook and I needed an upgrade from the skinny arm that comes with the c stand. So far it’s very heavy duty, my godox light fits perfect on it, it fits perfect on my c stand, nothing came broken, the sand bag is small but it works and I like it. I definitely got a bang for my buck with this purchase. Easy to put together as well. The arm can be heavy so take your time and use a step stool if needed it made my c stand a little higher. It adjusts well and no problems with it.

It has 2 weak points, I should probably give a 3. I added an arrow showing the angle adjust, which is only using a washer for tension that has no countergrip to the ribs. It holds, but the question is for how long and how well. A different structural weak point is where the boom connects to the C stand, I have circled the gap where this boom fitting should go all the way down to meet the rod below. I bought a specialty washer (3/4 x 1 x 1) at Home Depot to fill this gap. Otherwise, that narrow exposed rod portion is the weak structural point prone to bending and breaking over time. The boom itself is sturdy and good, thick. It’s just the connection and angle adjustment where the boom meets the C stand that was not particularly well engineered.

I love this boom! Works great with my heavy duty stainless steel C stand! It’s sturdy and it’s reach is substantial.

This is a amazing piece of equipment. To me its the best boom on the market. Even better that Bogan. I have struggled with these things for years. This one is rugged, the controls are nice, and it can take some weight. After buying one - I laughed when it was in my hands - it made me happy, I bought two more to complete my three photo stations. I use it to hold a Paul Bluff strip light I use for a hair light. I cant believe the price for the value you get from it. Is truly the Sheet! lol
