Protect that helps you sleep!
We have had 2 water leaks under the sink, and it ruined our cabinets. We now have a silicone "tray" under the sink. And one of these inside there. After getting a new kitchen, this thing went off when we were using the dishwasher for the first time. It was honestly only a few drops, and we had to tighten one fitting. PIECE OF MIND, right there. So, I have these where it matters. Inside the A/C area beneath that A/C that will drip water if the A/C ices up. On the floor in the laundry room. Near the water heater, in case it starts to leak. Near the wall where all of the underground water pipes come into the house! And when I did a repair on the toilet, I dropped on the floor (after cleaning everything), just in case something started dripping. Oh, and after replacing the water filter under the sink, this caught a small drip, that could have caused major problems over time. I just had to tighten the filter casing a bit more. (If you have water going into your fridge, I would throw one on the floor in the back of the fridge).

Only 2 Alarms in set are loud enough.
We bought these alarms to put in the crawl space under our home. Of the 4 alarms in this set only 2 alarms are loud. The other two aren't nearly as loud and we probably would never hear them.

I'd rather buy more expensive one at HD
I'm not impressed. At first, the alarm sounded very loud, the second time I tried them, the alarm sounded weaker. I was under the impression every time it must sound the same. After all, I'd rather pay $20 for just one unit but from a reputable manufacturer. Edit: I ordered a replacement and the replacement units performed the same. As a matter of fact one unit failed on the drip test!

Faulty - 2 of 4 of them had little or no alarm sound. Returned them!
They weren’t Loud enough to hear. Very low volume. bought a set of 4, tested 2 then returned them.
