JOROTO Exercise Bike, Magnetic Stationary Bikes for Home

A bit of a long review but big for item of this size and price, more info is better than less. I cross shopped this with the Schwinn IC3 and some of the Sunny Health and Fitness models in the same price range. I previously purchased a Sunny model in the $300 that lasted for a little more than a year before the seat post broke at the seat bracket. I was concerned about buying a bike that I could not inspect in person to see if the materials were thicker, more robust after the failure of the Sunny. I'm leaving 5 stars for now but 4.5 is probably closer to the truth. The bike isn't perfect but I am mostly happy with my purchase. That opinion may change over time but these are some immediate impressions. Pros - price w/ delivery was about $580 w/ a coupon from Amazon. As is common with these types of bikes, there is not much assembly required so I think most folks can buy without expert assembly and be ok. The company provides an assembly video but I used the included tools and manual to put it together. Assembly was relatively easy but the bike has some weight to it so a second set of hands may help, especially when adding the base supports. Everything else slides/ screws into place fairly easily. I had my bike out of the box and assembled in about an hour. The bike is sturdy. Solidly built, especially the seat/ seat post assembly. I swapped out the included seat for a padded one so I can't speak to the comfort but the post is much thicker than the Sunny model I previously purchased. Pedaling was "whisper" quiet. I was surprised at how little noise the bike makes. The noise never bothered me much as I usually listen to music on my headphones but if it matters to you, this bike should not be a bother in that regard. The LCD display is big and bright, easy to read. The ride height and handle bars are adjustable and it was easy to find a comfortable set up. Cons - The handlebar assembly is a bit wobbly. That may just be due to the weight of that part of the bike. The tablet holder is a bit narrow. I'm confident it will hold a standard tablet, but not one in a chunky case. I like chunky cases. I've never ridden a Peleton or some of the other 1K+ bikes so I can't compare but the looks, quality, sturdiness, quietness and other qualities of the X4S made me comfortable with my purchase, especially in comparison to my experience with a bike that cost about half as much and some of the issues I had with it. I didn't try to connect the bike to any apps so I'm not sure about the bluetooth connectivity element. The bike looks good, rides quiet, and feels solid in the seat. I'm looking forward to spinning away!

You can add me to the list of satisfied customers. The X4S is an amazing trainer. Excellent build quality. It's durability is evident and I have no doubt it will last. I looked at other bikes but in the end chose the Joroto. Assembly is straight forward and takes under an hour. Worth noting. The computer pairs with Kinomap and other workout applications. It does this with Bluetooth, but you do not connect the bike to the Bluetooth on your mobile device. You pair it directly with the workout app. Initially this was confusing but I contacted support for clarification. This brings up the next positive about Joroto. Support is excellent and responsive. I sent an email and had a reply in less than 24 hours. I got an answer to my question and a link to a helpful video. Often times, after sales support is what defines a company. I'm glad I chose this bike. There is no reason to buy a peloton at 4x the price. The X4S is every bit as smooth and quiet. The bike is so quiet that you could use it in a bedroom without disturbing your partner. The first time I rode it I was amazed. It's highly adjustable. Other family members can make adjustments and be ready to ride in a minute or two. It's perfect for people with busy lives. No trips to the gym. Having it at home is super convenient. It's ready when you are. It offers magnetic resistance for all skill and endurance levels. It includes pedals with toe cages but I'll probably swap those for clipless. We all appreciate buying something that does what it says it's going to do. This bike lives up to those expectations. If you're considering this bike, buy it.

I have been attending spin classes at the gym for about 8 years, so I've been spoiled riding $2000 commercial grade bikes like the Keiser M3. I wasn't sure what to expect for $400, but this is a very nice bike. It's built like a tank, very solid. It's easy to adjust the seat to find a comfortable position, the flywheel is pretty smooth and quiet, and there are places for my phone and water bottle on the handlebars. It wasn't too hard to assemble, I did it by myself in about 45 minutes. I have SPD shoes, so I immediately replaced the pedals that came with the bike - but these pedals are pretty standard for this price range. There are really only two things I miss about the high-end bikes at the gym, compared to this one: * On some high end bikes, the resistance is controlled with a simple lever, and you can see the numeric resistance level on the display - on this bike you have a knob to crank, and it takes quite a few cranks to go from very light to very heavy resistance. But again, I think all bikes in this price range are designed this way. * The display computer is ok - but I would prefer RPMs instead of MPH, wish it had a backlight if I darken the room, and I wish it showed a numeric resistance level. This is one area they could improve without significantly increasing the cost. All that said, I am still enjoying the bike - I can get a great smooth, comfortable, fun fitness ride at home, in and out of the saddle. Customer service is friendly and responsive too, I sent them these suggestions for improvement and they extended my warranty to 18 months.

Pre-covid, I rode a Peloton bike at the gym every other day for a little over a year. I loved it and it made me love to workout, which I never really liked before. But, covid hit and my gym closed and I didn't want to pay that much money for a bike. After a very long period of no riding, I decided to buy the Cyclace bike. It was great in the very begginging and started making so many squealing sounds and I had to adjust things and grease things regularly and it would still be so loud. The sound was driving me and my family crazy. I eventually sent back that bike and bought this one. I haven't had it for long, but it is just a shockingly good bike. It is very close to the Peloton in smoothness of the belt, flywheel and resistance feel. I only have a couple of issues and they are small/or can't be helped in a bike at this price range. Here they are: Handlebars: I am 5'11" with long arms and normally wouldn't even notice if something was not maybe the best for a shorter person. But, I think it is noticeable on this bike. The handlebars are set in a way that if I have the seat in the place it us supposed to be for my leg height and seat placement where it should be for my thigh length, the handlebars are about a half an inch too far away (see pic...I have it set as close to the seat as posssible). It is not a huge deal to me, but someone with shorter arms may struggle a bit. The handlebars are also a bit wider set than they other two bikes I have used. But, it has these inner bars set at an angle that I really like to use when I am in the saddle. The other thing is that instead of an iPad holder on the handlebars, it has two drink holders. I use it for my iPad anyway, but had to use two small bungee cords to secure it in place so it wouldn't fall during the more intense rides. Resistance: the Cyclace bike had felt resistance pads and I really disliked that. It made a rubbing sound and I knew after I decided to send it back, I would get a bike with magnetic resistance. This bike has that and it is very smooth and can give you as heavy resistance as you could need (our of the saddle too). My only issue is that the resistance starts heavier than the other two bikes. Not too heavy, just I never would have that feeling of my legs just flailing. Which normally doesn't matter, but sometimes at the end of a cool down, I really like to open it up. But, it isn't a big deal. But, the bigger issue to me is how many cranks it takes to get from the lower resistance levels to the higher ones. It feels like the resistance doesn't change that much for several turns and then it heats up pretty quickly. This makes some intervals a little harder when you go out of the saddle with high resistance and then a quick seated recovery. But, I am getting used to it and I am wondering if the company may know of some little tweaks. I haven't reached out to them. All in all this is a really awesome bike. It is so quiet, so smooth and very sturdy. There is no sqeaking and squealing so far. I really hope it stays that way. Peloton is nearly perfect for me, but this bike is so close behind it. When you factor in the cost of both bikes, it is a no brainer to go this route, at least if you are a thrifty person like me. I am so happy with this purchase! The only thing that could make it better is a resistance output, but at this price range, you just wont find that. I use my heart rate to guide resistance. Some things that I use to make the spin experience of even better is: Peloton app (12.99 per month without the bike. Worth it!) Wahoo cadence tracker (it displays on the Peloton app and is so easy to attach to your pedal arm) Spd pedals and clip in shoes (to me it is a must after starting at first with regular shoes). Fitbit- I set it to spinning and use it to watch my heart rate. It really helps to guide how intense I set my resistance. I also use a TV tray next to the bike to hold my a small fan, my weights and my water. It works great and you can just tuck it away when your done (see pic). I also didn't purchase a mat and it works great on hard floors. I do keep a small rug next to it so when I get on a off, I don't scratch the floor with the clips. I leave my bike in the same place, so I don't know how easy it would be to move it around, but it has the wheels on the front. That is it. If you are on the fence, I would absolutely recommend it. If anything changes, I will update my review.

TL/DR: Order this bike. Stop searching and just order it - its quiet, sturdy, and comes with a community to help you diy peloton it! I ordered the Joroto X2 at the start of the 2021 as a way to take online studio spin classes from home. I wanted to get in on the ‘peloton’ craze, but as a medical student, definitely couldn’t afford the $1800 price tag. Enter DIY Peloton Hack, and the Joroto X2. I read a lot of diy tutorials online and watched way too many YouTube videos comparing affordable home spin bikes. Consolidating this information, I determined that (at a minimum) I wanted a magnetic resistance (quiet and lower maintenance), belt driven (no maintenance) comfortable bike. The Joroto x2 ALSO had 4-way handlebar and 4way seat adjustment, which is great ! Diy peloton summarized (and my upgrades): Joroto x2 bike Wahoo cadence monitor Monthly peloton digital app membership (13$/mo) iPhone table clamp *see note* Etsy.con resistance gauge (~30$, helps keep track of resistance you are at). Overall, I am very impressed with this bike. It arrived professionally packed, was a breeze to set up (20 minutes, max) and has served me well. My only criticism would be two things with the handlebars. 1) The phone/tablet holder doesn’t hold my (older iPhone 7) in horizontal mode. My phone is just a bit too short to be stable, however my iPad mini is stable! I prefer using my phone, so i added an iPhone table clamp that I had sitting around, and it works great! 2). The bars are a little on the thinner side. As someone with larger hands, I have considered wrapping the handles to make them more comfortable. though this hasn’t impacted its function, and may actually be a benefit (spin instructors are always reminding us not to ‘’squeeze’’ the handlebars, something i definitely am not doing! I want to add that there are many FB groups for people who use this peloton hack/digital app users. This bike is one of the most common bikes purchased in this community, which means there is a community of people to offer help customized to this bike! I didn’t know how to best attach the cadence monitor and many people in the fB group offered suggestions and sent pictures from their Joroto X2 bike to help me! After 4 months of using this bike I am SO HAPPY I decided to make the purchase! I really believe that having the bike in my bedroom has made it easier for me to follow my goal of at least 4 rides per week. I get all of the major benefits of a peloton, without the high cost! This bike is sturdy, smooth, and looks great! With the addition of a cheap cadence monitor, it fulfills everything I need. So happy with this purchase, and I have encouraged at least two friends to buy this bike and join me on peloton classes!

I was a little hesitant at first when choosing this product to buy. For thanksgiving I stayed 10 days at my aunts home and she had a peloton that I used twice a day for 40 minutes at a time. I was hesitant with the Joroto X2 Pro because I wasn't sure the resistance would be enough for a hard workout. I can say now.. that it definitely is sufficient. at the max setting 100 its comparable to 70% peloton resistance which is enough. When speeding at around 70 rpm you will for sure get tired fast and feel the muscle burn and lower the dial Assembly is easy, you might need an extra person to raise the bike above the base and secure the bolts. Also don't forget to tighten the seat bolt to the seat position you find most comfortable. The machine has weight to it and doesn't move when you get up from the saddle. its a solid machine. I am a short man 5' 2" and the bike is perfect for me. and to anyone up to 300lbs. It's extremely quiet at fastest rpm i can go. 90 to above. Bluetooth connects fast to Kinomap, and its a great app for cyclists. I am just a man committed to fitness and love having a spin bike. I am addicted to it. I've had it for a week now. and doing 2 workouts a day. 50 minutes each. I prefer blasting my classical workout music and working through the pain. Ending it with a pool of sweat on the bike floor mat. I find the bike pedals comfortable and strapped securely to my shoe size. I may replace the pedals later from all the positive reviews of the pedals clip ons. But don't see that happening any time soon. Only thing I didn't like was the monitor. there is no back light to it. So I bought a book light and strapped it on my bike. I can now workout in the dark and see all my stats with ease. love how I can input my miles, calories, and time before I start and once i start peddling the countdown begins. Also you can choose which stat you want on the top line which is bigger than the other numbers. The resistance knob takes a few more turns than the peloton. at times i will turn it fast and no change in resistance number. but by the second turn it starts adjusting. I mainly workout in the 45% - 70% of seated fast peddling. with intervals in the 80s to 90s of standing and going as fast as i can until i can't take no more. tablet stand is secure, everything is stable even my water bottle. I Highly recommend the Joroto X2 Pro.

This review is for the Joroto X4S I’ve never put a bike together myself - outdoor or indoor, and found the setup much easier than expected. Think I probably struggled more with just getting everything out of the box with all of the plastic wrapping, tape, and styrofoam inside, but at least it was well protected during shipping. The Bluetooth functionality DOES work with Apple Watch. Just need to go into the Bluetooth setting on your watch and select it under the health accessories (after powering on the screen of the bike). Also tested with a trial of Apple Fitness+ and could see my RPMs on screen, so I knew it was synced up. Seems like a perfect alternative to Peloton, which is exactly what I wanted. Also works with a bunch of other apps - the manual recommends Kinomap, but I haven’t played around with that much yet. The ride itself is very smooth and quiet. Nothing felt loose, wobbly, squeaky, or poorly constructed. Really heavy duty stuff. I do wish the phone holder/water bottle holder was a bit bigger. Worked fine with my phone but not sure if it’d be enough to support a bigger tablet (it probably is though - the device holder part is a very grippy rubber). The screen on it is backlit which is nice if you plan on only using that. The seat…isn’t great. It’s very hard, kind of awkwardly small, and is definitely a pain to sit on. I’ll probably look for a replacement or cover asap. My first session with it definitely reminded me how out of shape I am, but it’s good to know that I can get a good workout on it. I’ve been missing cycling since I moved to a more hilly part of town. Very much looking forward to getting back into the shape I was in when I used to bike to the office (about a 20min total combined commute time).

So far the Bike is good for the price. Seems solid. The packaging was crazy, it took longer to unpack it than it did to put it together, that being said the bike came with a lot of scratches, and a seat with a hole at the seam. The seat cannot be tightened so that it is tight enough to stay straight, so it moves side to side and up and down when you sit on it. Beyond the hole, the seat seems pretty comfortable.The handle bars feel solid, although I wish the tablet holder was a little deeper, I it big enough to hold a 10 to 12 inch tablet without interfering with your grip, although I feel as though my tablet will fall off...The bike was fairly easy to assemble, even without looking at instructions it took maybe 30 minutes. The bike came with all of the tools to assemble and batteries for the little activity monitor or display. It is easy to maneuver and move the bike, just a little awkward because I was not sure where to grab it from to not break anything. The right pedal has a clicking sound when you pedal, we think it is the plastic cage hitting the metal part of the pedal. Not crazy about the toe cage it is a little cheap and difficult to tighten the strap. Other than the clicking pedal the bike is virtually silent. A con is that you have no idea where you are with respect to resistance, it is hard or easy, no idea what level. We called Amazon for support although was told we had to contact Joroto and that to my knowledge is only via email. Amazon offered to replace it, although we will wait to see if we hear back from Joroto first, we really just need the seat replaced, I guess we will live with the scratches for now. We bought the warranty, although hope that Joroto gets back with us. Hopefully the customer service is as good as the reviews say they are. Overall, a good value and better (smarter) alternative to a $2,000 bike with a $50 a month subscription...we bought the Wahoo Cadence sensor and connected to Peleton app (first month free then $12.99 per month), not sure if we can get live classes, all classes seemed to be recorded, but that's okay. For a $1,500 saving and a $37 a month savings we're good! Also fits nicely with the decor, (nice powder coated frame) until we can set up the office properly to put it in the office...will update after we hear from Joroto and with some use...Also, wish the bike came with an actual bottle holder on the frame, not where I would put my tablet, kind of a design flaw in my opinion... Update: Joroto CS responded and is more than happy and willing to replace the seat and pedal; the were very kind and extremly professional and customer centered in their response to my inquiry. Now will wait for the seat and pedal.

Die Lieferung war super. Bestellt und 4 Tage später war es da. Sicher verpackt, perfekt. Der Zusammenbau war easy. Gut beschrieben und rasch erledigt. Kinderleicht. Das Bike ist wirklich sehr leise. Und ich konnte damit super trainieren, es steht absolut sicher und ist sehr stabil. Bin wirklich sehr zufrieden. Der Tablethalter ist perfekt. Man kann super über die Bewegungskamera Touren fahren. Auch die Einstellungen von Sitz und usw. sind schnell und leicht zu machen. Klasse Bike! Das Display gefiel mir überhaupt nicht. Es wirkt sowas von fehl am Platz am Rad. Tolles Bike und so ein Display, das passte nicht. Ich habe mich dann wegen dem Display an den Kundenservice gewandt. Und das Display-Problem geschildert. Darauf hin haben sie mir ein anderes Display zugeschickt. Was viel hochwertiger ist. Ich bin nun rundherum zufrieden. Klasse! Den Kundenservice möchte ich extra erwähnen, weil der einfach klasse war. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider findet man das nicht mehr so oft, das ein Kundenservice so bemüht ist seine Kunden zufrieden zustellen und sich so um sie bemüht. Ein Extralob daher von mir. Macht weiter so!

Ok.....This bike is simply amazing. No noise what so ever, (Magnetic, belt drive) Comfortable seat. Very sturdy. It has that commercial bike feel. Can't argue with price either, compared to the upper end bikes. After all, this is for home use,when getting to the the gym isn't an option. Very easy to assemble. You tube has a great tutorial you can easily follow. It took me 30 minutes. This is a heavy bike. Some may need a helping hand. The ratchet handles for the adjustments are fine for me, however my wife wishes they were the knob style instead. ( good point), it would be easier for her, since we both have separate settings. The handle bar, I put my phone in one holder and water bottle in the other. We stream cycle class on our TV. The pedals aren't the greatest, but sufficient. You can tweak this bike how you want, considering the low price. Adding different pedals or racing seat, for example. During my research on home spin bikes, I read that Joroto X2 was runner up to the Bowflex C6. The X2 is less than half the price. There are many bikes out there. I always came back to this one. Great reviews. Very satisfied with the choice. Smooth quiet ridding. You won't be disappointed, in my opinion.

After reading and watching many positive reviews of the JOROTO X2, I decided to take the leap and go all out with the JOROTO X4S. I felt that the X4S had improvements over the X2 and trusted that all of the goodness of the X2 would still be with the X4S which I feel that they are. I wanted to avoid a bike with the built in screen as I would prefer just to use my iPad, the X4S is well setup to accommodate this and it appears to be an improvement over the X2. The display shows the necessary basic functions and again is just a step up from the X2 display. In my opinion the X4S is a sleeker looking bike than many others out there, which doesn't help performance, but certainly helps if its going to be left out on display. The quality of the build and materials are top notch. The system is so quiet, the only thing I can hear is my racing heart and general lack of fitness (which I am working on). Assembly was simple and done in about half an hour - very similar to the YouTube videos of the X2. My dealings with Joroto via email were positive. At 6'2" I feel comfortable on the bike and there is still adjustment available (the kids were the last to use it which is why the seat is down). As somebody just looking to improve fitness and loose weight I find this bike perfect and great value for the money.

Je cherchais un vélo à la fois compact pour le placer dans mon petit appart, mais de bonne qualité. So far, so good : il est très chouette, lourd comme il faut, s'intègre dans mon salon sans problème. Il est super silencieux. Nous l'avons monté à deux, en moins d'une heure. Le bluetooth fonctionne sans problème avec kinomap. Pour l'instant, c'est un grand oui !

Il monitor non funzionava più. Sentito Amazon, mi ha indirizzato all'assistenza Joroto. La gestione del malfunzionamento è stata subito presa in carico e dopo alcune prove non andate a buon fine mi è stato inviato un nuovo monitor senza spese. Problema risolto in pochi giorni, assistenza perfetta.
