Good quality header tank cap

Fitted to my Vauxhall Corsa as the one which came with the new overflow tank did not hold and had to be screwed down so tight it stuck on. This one fits perfectly and you do not need or are not able to over tighten as it should be. Good quality product and strong screw strength.

So I was out with my daughter to go to the cinema to see Betterman. In the car park we noticed steam coming out the engine bay. So after parking up I opened bonnet and my Expansion cap had decided to unscrew itself and refuse to go any where near that film and tried to stop us. Anyway limped it back to my daughter’s house, lots of stopping as you can imagine the temp gauge was going up and down quicker than a lady of the night’s undergarments. Nowhere open to get another cap. So I managed to jam a cap from a water bottle into it, then a mint tin was just the right fit to sit on top of temp cap and wedge against body work so the ramp cap could not decide to leave either. Logic was pressure will push in cap, cap will push on mint tin (oblong Smint variety metal tin, other mints are available) then mint tin will push on bodywork. It bloomin worked got the car home, longest 16 miles of my life. But temp stayed normal. The copious amount of bottles of tap water were not needed. New underwear was. So ordered this replacement and yeah it fitted fine. Moral of story is, regardless of what my original cap wanted by trying to fail me to get to cinema and watch Betterman, it failed.

Bought this as a replacement,fitted it,and now it wont come back off,so ive had to order a new expantion tank
