Q: Does it beep when you start the count up? I want this for my classroom but I need students to hear when the stopwatch starts!

Firstly we need to pull open the stand on the back of the timer, then we could slide open the battery cover according to the arrow on it. VOCOO

The timer would automatically turns off within 5 seconds when it is not counting. If you want to stop the screen, please just press the ST/SP button to pause the timer. Then just wait 5 seconds, it would turn off. Please feel free to contact us directly if there is anything we could help. VOCOO

When it working, count up or countdown, the screen will stay on all the time. Since it is LED display, it is suggested to set it to ECO for extended battery life. VOCOO
