NRS Healthcare Gordon Ellis Elephant Feet Raiser 5.5 inch (Eligible for VAT Relief in the UK)

These work very well. For medical reasons, I use them to raise the head only of the bed. My feet stay warm when I do this and sleep is less disturbed. Wonderful! These raisers are strong and stable. They have a dense foam insert for use with wooden legs, or you take out the foam and there is a recess for castors. I bought them to take on holiday but they are bulky, so you need a car. Also someone strong to fix them under the bed legs. If you do this, remember to bring them home with you - the next guest may not appreciate sleeping at an angle!! These arrived promptly and do the job very well. You can't stack them up like some other products, so the raising level is set at 5 1/2 inches, but that is adequate for me. It was great to be able to use them on a recent holiday; despite being bulky, they are very light in weight.

Excellent stable product. Used the 5 " version to raise my bed for post op hip replacement, and done the job. Certainly don't feel like the bed is going topple off the raisers, no movement when I get on the bed.

I only needed 6 of these and unfortunately they only come in packs of 4. However, they do the job I needed. Great for a bed or a settee but maybe a bit unstable at the 14cm height for a chair. Of course they are loose (not linked to one another as some are) and so you need to be careful locating them - but they have a large diameter curved cup with a rubber cushion that locates a castor well. I didn't want to have any sideways free movement following hip surgery. The raisers are well made in tough polypropylene and should be very durable. The only downside of the purchase was that having paid for express delivery - I got my confirmation from Amazon advising the delevery date would be 1 week! Of course it was delvered next day thank goodness. Amazon you need to get your act together - if they had it would be 5 stars.

These really do work well. I was slightly wary at first. Simple idea, but brilliant. Needed to raise a Parker Knoll armchair to the correct sitting height for a relative who has had a replacement hip operation. All feels very stable and strong when fitted. Don't slip - so no worries when getting on and off the chair. Different heights available to suit. Much cheaper than buying a new chair. Absolutely great and highly recommended.

Used these to raise a high sleeper bed higher by 5.5 inches and had also bought the 3.5 inch ones as well which I doubled up and used to take up the space under the ladder. They work perfectly and are very strong they can take an even load of up to 500kg over all 4 of the legs. The legs on the bed are only about 35kg each with me sleeping on it so nothing to worry about there. They are pretty big but then they wouldn't be called elephants feet if they weren't but aside from that I'm very pleased with them and they have been perfect for what I wanted. Definitely recommend.

The product does the job and is effective in raising seats and beds . They are well constructed and have a broad base .That said if you require to raise a seat such as a reclining chair ensure first that the chair is stable in the first place . These risers are quite high and if the item being raised is not firmly planted on the floor the risers will not improve that and one should not expect them to .

I was concerned that many of the raisers did not look as if they were safe for a sofa with castors. This product has an indent in the top lined with a disc of firm foam. When I put the castor in the raiser, the foam made a round indent just the right size and shape for the castor and it was deep enough too. I used this product on a heavy sofa with 4 feet on castors. It is very sturdy and safe. I did not have any trouble placing the raisers under the sofa despite being a quite frail elderly person. The sofa is now the right height so I can get up easily after sitting on it. before I had these raisers I could not sit on the sofa because it was too low.

These are good enough from the functional perspective; they hold the castors in my trolley quite snugly and increase the height to a more manageable level. It's a shame they don't come in different skins. The colour scheme in my kitchen is white and light wood, and these stick out like a sore thumb (or sore feet in this case!)

Très solide, style moche, bonne qualité et prix correct pour 4 pieds. Pas déçue, nouveau confort pour moi âgée, aucun regret, plus de difficulté pour me coucher et me lever !

A pesar de que me equivoque de tamaña y la cama me queda un poco alta es un buen producto, ahora puedo pasar el aspirador y limpiar debajo del canape que antes tenia que empujarlo primero hacia un lado y despues hacia el otro y aún así siempre quedaba pelusa, ahora esta siempre limpio y yo con mi alergia lo he notado. El servicio de Amazon fue excelente pues aunque no quedaban, me lo trajeron tan pronto como lo recibieron y no me cobraron hasta tenerlo en casa.

Endlich eine brauchbare Alternative zur Erhöhung meines Bettes! Nun habe ich ein richtiges "OMA-BETT"! Sieht ein bisschen unbeholfen aus, aber ein Überwurf verdeckt die Klumpfüße. Das Produkt ist zum Weiterempfehlen, weil es unnötige Mühen und Kosten erspart. Muss kein neues Bett kaufen.

Muy bien, cumplen perfectamente su función. Quedan sólidamente anclados y dan seguridad. Evidentemente la estética no es lo más destacable pero, en mi opinión, eso ocurre con todos los tacos elevadores; después de todo, se entiende que tratan de solucionar un problema primando el sentido práctico sobre el estético.

Da ich schon einige Zeit nach günstigen Möglichkeiten suche, das Bett meiner Eltern zu Erhöhen (höhere Füße des Herstellers hätten 150 Euro gekostet), bin ich langem suchen auf diese "Elefantenfüße" gestoßen. Ich war doch skeptisch, ob die Füße auch nicht wackeln da drin und ob die Elefantenfüße stabil genug sind. Ich muss sagen, dass ich positiv überrascht war. Da mir selbst eine Rezension gefehlt hat: Ich kann die Elefantenfüße zur Erhöhung nur empfehlen. Optisch finde ich ich sie auch nicht so schlimm, wie manch andere Möglichkeiten, die ich gefunden hatte.
