Would this tool be any good at removing nails from timber?

No, at all. This tool is for hammering in nails without use of a normal hammer.

Does this item come with nails if not which nails are required

It doesn't come with nails, it is for any nails. You just put a nail in the end, there is a magnet that holds it in, place the point of the nail where you want to nail and it hammers it in. I've got a lot of old 2" 3" nails I use, no special ones needed.

Can be used with 1 inch concrete nails?

I never tried but don’t think it will work well on that type of nails. It is good for tight or hard to reach space. Very handy but also noisy.

can this be used for panel pins

No. You need saple gun with up to >15mm nail loading option. Most of them have this option this days. Just check in descriptions to be on the safe side. Kind Regards.
