Chunky but too many joins!

The wool is lovely and soft. It's just what I was looking for to knit a chunky scarf but it is let down by the number of joins in the wool. So far in one ball I've come across 7 joins in the wool. Very annoying and leaves knots in the scarf. 1 or 2 is acceptable, but 7 is ridiculous!
