Do these things really work?

I’ve been using it for about a month after seeing Peter Attia recommend an overpriced similar product called a black board. I think this is comparable to that product and do believe it works. It trains involuntary balance muscles and is quite challenging. On a good day I can balance 20 seconds without touching the ground.

With the cutout parts on the flat sides these look uncomfortable for your feet to stand on. Are they?

How do these compare to the Black board balance trainers?
