Properly good strong and sturdy lock. The keys are distinctive making them easy to find in the cupboard. design seems excellent, they aren't the cheapest but you pay for quality. Not sure how rust resistant they are as I've only been using it for a few weeks.

Excuse the conditions of the gate in review as it’s going to be replaced very soon but can’t wait for the wife to make a decision on replacing it and the wall.Wanted to be able to open the side gate from both sides with a secure and sturdy lock. Searched around a bit but these kept being the best reviews as another cheaper didn’t seem as good quality, issues with keys and rusted quickly. Arrived next day nice and early so I could fit immediately. From the start the gate lock looked and felt quality. Good clear instructions, wood bit, screws and template. Went for the 70mm due to the timber brace I had added previously to gate for the bolt and padlock. Template on and started drilling and found the wood bit struggled a bit to get through but that could be my battery drill on its last legs. So drilled about 2inch in and then used a smaller wood bit and continued after with the bit that came with the lock (an option if the gate or door is thick). Job done and simply slotted lock into the gate, put bolt across and screwed on. Bolt across to measure where the receiver would go and screwed on. Final job was to put the brass housing on the outside. The brass screw heads are soft so a quick pre punch with a very thin screwdriver first before screwing them in. Key and bolt action smooth and seems strong. Looks all good quality and very happy. Ordered, delivered and fitted in less than 24hrs. All time record for me. Took about 2hrs to fit.

Worth paying the extra good solid unit and easy to install.Plus it comes with the correct size drill bit and a template for diyers.

The lock is very well made itself, instructions easy to follow, the self adhesive template is a great bonus, it’s also good that a hole cutter is included, I had to add a small piece of wood to my gate because it was not wide enough to fit the lock, my only problem was the fixing screws they are to long and only really need to be half the length, they are also quite soft so the heads round off easily, would have been better if a pilot drill was also included for the fixing screws, the brass screws are also to long and the heads round off very easily so I made quite deep holes first with a bradle.

Great product, just fitted it in 18 minutes, sticky template is great and even has the correct size drill bit for the core drilling. With 5 key euro.lock ita a brilliant product. I bought the accompanying black handle and that too is fantastic and easy to fit. Just need a drill

Arrived promptly and safely via Amazon Prime. Installed this lock on a garden gate to replace a bolt that could not be locked from the outside. Lock was easy to install, feels very robust and comes with heavy duty screws so would take some work to force off. Would strongly recommend and would re-purchase for any gate in future; allows gates to be locked from the exterior. Comes with multiple keys that are well made. There’s only one slight point in that it is sometimes prone to freezing in very cold weather so well advised to keep the lock well lubricated.

Sturdy, strong and reliable, 5 keys with them so ideal to give to family and keep anyone else out of your property. Good kit, don’t oversize the hole for the lock to fit through

I have been padlocking our gate for years, it's just been the norm, but now with children wanting bikes out, bikes back in, scooters out, scooter back in, trailing through the house unlocking the gate, locking it back up, trailing back through the house... was getting somewhat tiresome.I'd been looking for an alternative, after trying to find a solution came across this lock, now for a gate lock it's not cheap, but after looking around found it's not that dear either, just what I needed a gate lock you can lock and unlock from either side.. how have I ever managed to live without this.I'm a competent DIYer, fitting is straight forward, just remove the old latch, position the template Mark and drill.Just double and triple check that where the barrel with fit, that there is nothing in the path through the timber, I managed to locate the lock just slightly over where a screw was that held one of the cross supports for the gate.The lock comes with a hole cutting wood bit so no need to go out and buy one.Even with the time taken to sort out moving the screw where the barrel was to go, it took me 15 mins to fit.So easy to install and works a treat, I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone, plus it comes with 5 keys, so no need to have to start getting keys cut to hand out.Well worth the money.
