Works perfectly
This adapter is great, it transforms a USA standard plug into a uk plug. I havenโt seen one like this before, itโs much better than the plug in ones that are bulky and ugly. This looks like a standard plug, and itโs secure and sturdy. I bought this as the hair straighteners I bought had a USA plug, I am happy to say it worked perfectly, and I would recommend. It was also a good price.

So far so good though I had to do a little cutting
I had never thought of this and have always lived with my US plug going into an adaptor, for a computer. It's a great idea to have this as you no longer have to worry about knocking the bloody thing out. I had no problem putting the plug in, but it's an Apple plug, so the rubber caught on the edges and I couldn't push it in to close it. I just shaved a little of the plastic off around the edges of the adaptor and it worked fine. It probably works perfectly with most plugs, but Apple is Apple. I would absolutely buy another one if I had another plug that needed to use it. Would it be of the highest quality material? Not really. But it doesn't have to be. It's simple, straight forward, and stops anyone from bumping into my cable and turning the computer off.

Worked a treat
I used this as I bought a hair straightening brush from the USA (Glamfields, since you asked!) So I needed an adaptor as the unit obviously has the two pronged American system going on....I must say it worked a treat and it was a breeze, simply unscrew the one screw that holds it together, insert the 2 prongs, press down, screw lid back on. Done! You now have a safe and secure "normal" UK 3 pin plug. You cant really go wrong, because its screwed in everything is secure and solid, and because there is only one way to insert the prongs, which is obvious when you lift the lid off, there is no problem there either...just check your appliance can cope with the UK 240v system, which wll likely be explained in the boring part of the manual, you know, that bit you never read at the beginning. Example,in my instruction leaflet for the appliance,in the FAQ section,it said "Does it work with AC240v ?" Answer: Yes it works between 120-240v. 120v (or so) is the USA system.I didnt bother changing the fuse or anything like other posters have said and all was well,my appliance, nor my house blew up,but obviously check these things for the appliance you are using for safety.Ignore reviews thats says its flimsy, once you have screwed in,its a normal sturdy plastic plug! Hope this helps some people. And btw,my hair is lovely, soft and straight.Cheers!

takes only a very small dimension US plug
As mentioned frequently in the 3, 2 and 1 star reviews for this product, its's designed to accept a US 2-pronged plug alright, but only ones with a very small size plastic casing, hence my wife's US handheld cosmetic gizmo with a 2-pronged plug in a not-tiny casing wouldn't fit past the the various restrictive plastic guides, and unlike some other people, I didn't break off the guides to force it in. So as it's only a few quid, we threw it away. I'm annoyed however at the increasing amount of these small electrical items on Amazon that do turn out to be useless to a fairly large proportion of their buyers. This product has 25% three and below reviews, and many of the 3 reviews mention the aperture as being too small for the body of their plugs and having to break bits off. My beef is that the seller is effectively making 25% more sales than they deserve to because of not mentioning the drawbacks of their product on their Amazon pitch. Each buyer's financial loss is small, but the rip-off adds up to a big windfall to the supplier,

Perfect!
I bought a hair straightener from an American brand that needed an adapter. Fits like a glove. Im not very technically minded but managed to figure out how to attach it without instructions. The plug simply arrives with a barcode on it. Feels sturdy and fit for purpose.

Weird
Never seen an adaptor like this. Hinge opens the plastic casing to reveal the points into which you can insert your two-pin plug. So if you then plug the adaptor into a wall plug hole, the entire setup hangs down and you just have to hope that the 2-pin plug doesn't fall out with gravity. It works but I would not recommend this as a particularly "safe" piece of kit.

Great service from seller
This felt well made and as described. Sadly the plug I had came with very short prongs so wouldn't reach the electric points. I requested a return which was instantly accepted and a refund provided as soon as I sent it. I can't fault the seller in any way just q shame it didn't fit my silly Chinese plug ! I would confidently buy from this seller again.
