Very funny book for little ones

We started with Monsters Love Underpants, then were given Dinosaurs Love Underpants for Christmas and having just bought two Fire tablets for travels in the car I downloaded this as a kindle version to them. It is just as brilliant as the others and we can't wait to read more of Claire Freedman's awesome books. The rhyming stories really feed your imagination... I defy anyone not to read the pirate's part in Pirate talk aarrrr! The kids love them and they love the illustrations, they're so well done and we spend a lot of our story time finding things on the page, there's always a robot in the bedroom and our kids know it, they look for and point them out every time.

We sure start off with the right ingredients - I mean who doesn't like pirates or underpants? But a clever premise does not necessarily make a good kid's picture book. Here, we get the full monty. Clever rhymes, goofy bright drawings, a plot with a trick ending, and even an underwear centric moral. While never straying from the underwear theme we even get a lot of piratey stuff. This is a fun read to and easily becomes a read with and later a read-alone. The rhymes are clever, but direct, so a youngster should be able to handle them fairly early on. It's too bad R.L.S. didn't take the next step once he had created "longjohn" Silver.

Pirates and Underpants what is there not to love about this book!!!??? especially if you happen to be a 4 year old boy who could dress up as a pirate almost as soon as he learnt to say PIRATE!!! We have all the "underpants" books and this is another fine example of rhyming text and bold illustration to add to the collection. I have three boys the eldest is 8 and all have been brought up on these fantastical fun books. Having them read to them for bedtime, to now reading themselves to their younger brother. The older ones love to spot the characters from the earlier books hiding in the pictures. Who says reading is not fun???

Another great book from the "underpants" range. This is a great book for little ones and their adult readers as it is full of humour and the most outrageous pictures of goings on, pirate style. I bought this for my 5 year old Grandson at Christmas and it was the book he wanted to be read in bed after all the festivities and presents - a huge compliment to the auther, I thought! If you are an avid fan of Claire Freedman and have collected all the Aliens Love Underpants books, I highly recommend this one - your family will love it!

My son and I love all of this range of'underpants' books by Claire Freedman, fun, rhyming, not to short...and not too long perfect bedtime reading. We have all of this range which started off with Aliens love Underpants a few years ago, my son is now 6 years old and is reading them now by himself and still enjoying them. They are fantastically illustrated with great humour.

This is another great addition in the series of books about underpants. The pictures are bright and colourful and the text is easy to follow and has a nice rhyming feel to it. The story is funny when showing the different pants and the children I worked with loved what they did to the other pirates. I have all the other books in this series and this was a welcome new addition. Looking forward to the next one.

I don’t think this one is as good as the other underpants books in the series, however my four year old would probably disagree. Still, it’s a great addition to any child’s book collection.

This is a really funny book and has my class. in stitches but I would have preferred the larger paperback size. However , the service was extremely fast and I am content

The pictures are so beautiful and funny... and so is the story. Everything is written in rhymes and our grandson loves it!

Steve smallman has a cadence to his words that makes reading any of his books such a pleasure. Pirates love underpants is no exception, and also boasts his signature silly sense of humour that has my 2 year old and me giggling away every time we read it.
