Delighted with my new tumble dryer, its quieter than my old Bosch one and the clothes came out beautifully dry... OK I've only used it once so far but I'm so pleased with it I thought I'd write a review. I ordered it Saturday lunch time and by Monday morning it was in my kitchen, the delivery men were careful and efficient. BUT Im not impressed with the warrenty, it was sold with a five year warranty emblazoned on it but it seems there is only two years! So far AEG have not been very helpful although when I tried to register it online the site said they are experiencing problems! We shall see how this pans out. Update, after many emails it transpires that this was 'a marketing error' and the machines from other suppliers are covered by the 5 year warranty... I'm very happy, so now my review is PERFECT MACHINE BUY IT!

First impressions are excellent, and It looks futuristic. I regularly do a load of mixed washing (trousers, tops, pants, and socks). Then after the cycle has finished I put everything straight from the wash into the tumble dryer. I set it on the mixed clothes setting and approx 2 hours later everything comes out dry and crease free. As with all heat pump dryers, they take longer to dry whilst using way less energy (do your research before buying). The question you need to ask yourself is . . . Do you need your clothes dried quicker or cheaper?. Are you going to wear them straight from the dryer?. If not, then the longer drying time isn't really an issue. Heat pump dryers have a closed loop system which recycles the warm air, so it's more efficient and produces less steam. This dryer has an A++ energy rating, and i can see the energy savings via my electricity smart meter. The front panel features a digital display showing how long each setting will take before you start and also shows the time remaining. An extra 3 years warranty is available for free if you register your appliance online. I have previously owned AEG appliances, and in my experience, they are 100 percent worth the extra cost versus a cheap/budget brand. It's still early days for me, and only time will tell regarding reliability. If I encounter any issues, I will update my review accordingly.

Great Drying and energy efficient. Reasonable Drying times and relatively easy to use machine. I had a little problem trying to use the optional Dryness Level program. This is a very well made machine and a great looking one. It is a little bit on the noisy side.

Very happy with the dryer, it’s quieter than my last one and does an excellent job on the clothes. Good size door and easy to use interface.

Had 18 months, doesn’t dry now, always struggled and received no response from repair agents, a massive waste of money. Now looking to go back to a vented dryer. Not buying appliances from Amazon again as no after sales service what’s so ever. Very conscious that reviewers from Vine (paid reviews) can sometimes negate a negative review/view with a long drawn out explanation on an appliance, especially following a negative review within the line up. As a follow up to my disgruntled ramblings at the beginning, I will add that this dryer needs a tremendous amount of maintenance (as per the instructions) vacuuming the condenser unit (at the bottom behind a flap) with a brush attachment after every use, unfortunately the condenser cannot be removed which makes it tricky to remove all fluff, this fluff over time, starts to get wet, causing a blockage which can extend the drying time (up to 8 hours 😔) A resolution is to take apart and flush clean. Not recommended unless you are an engineer, and not covered under the warranty. I am very weary of claims that this dryer is less expensive to run, I haven’t seen a reduction in my electricity bill. If, like most family’s you need to dry 2 or 3 loads in a day, an 8 hour wait between loads is not practical. I have used a lot of dryers over the years, White Knight being the best, this one being the worst and most expensive. Have just bought a new vented dryer and scrapping this one.

I haven't had this machine long so can't comment on reliability. So far it drys really well, is simple to use and the filter looks impressive and is easy to clean. It is much better at drying than my previous Samsung that always seemed to leave clothes damp. It isn't particularly quite but not that noisy either. Not sure on power consumption as never checked. I got this on a Warehouse deal. And it was good value. The dent on the side isn't visible when in place. Build quality could be better. It doesn't feel as well made as other appliances from the likes of Bosch or Samsung. I only use it for cotton, mainly bedding, bathmats and towels. I have never tried the synthetic modes. Duvet mode also works well.

Good drying machine, not noisy, good capacity, heat level, very easy to emptying and cleaning.
