Neewer 77mm UV Filter, Ultra Slim UV Protection 77mm Camera Lens Filter with 9H High Hardness Tempered HD Optical Glass/Aluminum Alloy Frame/30 Layers Nano Coated/Water Repellent/Scratch Resistant: desertcart.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Review: Quality filter at a great price. - Seems to be a very high quality filter at a sensible price, optically I can't tell any difference between this filter on the lens or off (and the camera is a pretty high end Fuji GFX with 102MP and very good lenses, so if this camera can't pick up on any degradation, you can be assured it's not an issue). I'd buy again with confidence, these are good items. (Actually, I did - I now have four of them, one for each of my GFX lenses!) Review: Good - As advertised

Really Nice, Affordable UV Filter.
This UV filter arrived in a nice looking, Neewer branded cardboard box, that is secured in a plastic wrap. Inside was the filter (in its own plastic protective case), and a Neewer branded cleaning cloth. The filter I’m reviewing has a diameter of 77mm, but there is no reason to believe any of the other sizes would perform any differently. The filter itself feels well made, and durable. I had no issues with the screw thread. It consistently screwed on and off my lenses smoothly, and without any binding or cross threading. The frame is very narrow, and as a result I did not experience any vignetting, even on my wide angle lens. It’s debatable how much effect UV filters have with modern cameras and lenses. And unfortunately, even if it did have an effect, the weather during my time with this filter has been constantly overcast, so I wouldn’t see any benefit anyway. However, UV filters also have a secondary use, which is to protect your lens, and for this usage, this filter worked really well. I noticed no degradation in image quality whilst using it, nor did I experience any issues with increased flaring. The filter’s coating also proved nice and easy to clean. Whilst not everyone feels the need for such extra protection, as someone who can be a little clumsy at times, I’d rather risk scratching a filter than scratching a lens that costs 50 times as much. In conclusion, if you are after a UV Filter for the extra protection it provides, then this is a well made, yet relatively cheap filter, that I can highly recommend. ~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

A must have for expensive digital camera lens.
Ultra Violet filters that screws onto the end of your lens help protect the end of the lens from scratches and dust, whilst helping block out ultraviolet light and removing blue casts from images. I've used them on all my lens and they have saved me from expensive repairs when I have dropped my camera on the odd occasion. This lens has a 30 layer nano coating to help keep it water and dust resistant. It was easy to fit to my recently bought prime lens and has a knurled edge in places making it easy to grip and twist into place. It offers good solid protection and peace of mind without breaking the bank.

Good quality
A good quality UV filter, that’s seems optically clear and can be useful. I don’t always leave this on my lenses but on some travelling occasions I will screw it on without needing to have the hood on, and although my bags are padded, I can sometimes rush and run throwing things in, this adds a layer of protection so I don’t scratch the actual lens when I don’t put the cap on or lose them (happens often). I will leave it on occasionally to take images when needing to at pace but most occasions I will remove it and attach the hood instead. Using it with on, I see no perceived difference so I don’t mind when taking images in a casual setting but I still prefer it off images are of utmost importance. The build quality is good, it’s optically clear, and threads are good as it screws on smoothly so if you need a UV filter that’s super slim, this is a bargain.

Great quality
Always have a UV filter on your lens. I learned this long ago when I went to the beach with my expensive lens. A small stray rock hit my glass and left a huge blemish. Lens ruined... but lesson learned. From that day on I have always made sure to have one. This comes in a really rather nice iridescent box. Inside the box the UV filter comes in a basic plastic case. Nothing special really but it doesn't need to be. The case certainly protects the filter and is easy to open via a clip on one side. I do really like the fact there are some finger grooves to help you remove the filter without touching it with your fingers. There's also a cleaning cloth in the box! Nice! The UV filter itself is really good quality. Perfect for protecting your expensive lenses. It will also protect against dust and grit. Not to mention protect you from UV light which can cause colour casts in your images. Good price for a quality bit of essential kit. Never leave home without one!

Disappointing haze reduction
This filter is a good protector of your expensive lens but does little else. I gave it a good test in the Canadian Rockies and it made no difference whatsoever to the UV haze (with and without tests and post editing proved it), but neither did it diminish the light coming into the lens.

Very good quality UV filter
This NEEWER 77mm UV Filter is excellent in my opinion. It comes neatly packaged and includes a sturdy filter case and cleaning cloth. The thread on the filter is very well engineered and locates into the filter thread on my lenses perfectly with no binding. It is a useful addition for protecting an expensive lens and removing excess UV light reducing the blue cast which can become too prominent in images depending upon lighting conditions. The optical glass makes the filter itself water repellent, oil proof and scratch resistant and the Nano coating has very minimal effect on light transmission. I have used this filter for wildlife and landscape photography and found that the camera's auto focus still works perfectly and there is no Vignetting when using it on my wide angle lenses. The slim profile makes it very unobtrusive and my lens caps still attach correctly. In summary a really good quality UV filter which does a great job. I have no hesitation providing a five star review. Recommended.

Tiptop. Volle fünf Sterne.

No exposure degradation and no light change whatsoever, test it and love it. Hence, I replaced all my lenses with this UV filters, bought 7 of them. On my Hasselblad XCD lenses, Nikon lenses, they all perform very well.

Recently purchased 3 new lenses all 77mm. For the lens I will use the most I bought a B&W 007 MRC, then a tried a Urth 30L for another lens, and for lens I anticipate I will use less often a Neewer Nano HD. The B&W seems to be the most clear with very controlled reflections, next best to me was this Neewer, filter, so clear and neutral and so close to the B&W I wouldn't hesitate to get more for any lens I get. Impressive piece of glass.
