Does anyone have any idea what size cable gland is needed?

The gland screw thread is the same diameter as the hole in a standard 13amp wall pattress. I think that is 20mm

Can i use this to replace my normal house 13amp socket? I intend to put a 16amp plug on my welder as the 13amp plug fuse kept blowing.

This socket is rated at 16A current capacity, but does not have a fuse. Assuming you want to replace a standard 13A socket on a ring main, the only fuse (or breaker) in the circuit will be on the main board which will be 30A. Welding equipment can typically be 50-200 amp I wouldn't do it!

Will it accept 10mm section cable

I wrote a review warning not to buy poorly made and not water proof, buy a socket from Henkle or Legrand these are made to high standards. This socket will accept 10mms diameter round cable 4mm max copper strands best with 2.5

Not the best quality plug. Had much better ones for the same kind of money. Does the job but the quality of materials isn't great and the rubber grommet that's supposed to seal the cabl entry at the rear isn't worth a 💩 Won't buy this brand again.
