iLight PRO 12" Autocue teleprompter iPad Tablet - Kit teleprompter for video with Remote Control, APP & Carry Bag, Beam Splitter Prompter DSLR, iPhone, APP for Apple Android Mac Win

After renting different models of teleprompters I decided to purchase my own to avoid the time wasting of collecting and taking it back and of course the rental itself. I've been using this for over a month now in many occasions and is just brilliant. Very simple product but works well, take a couple of minutes to assemble and easily handle my Sony FS-5 + Metabones + Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens (about 4kg). All parts are made of aluminum, making it solid. It doesn't fit my iPad Pro 12.9" but it is perfect for the iPad Air 10.9" I purchased specifically for using with this. To avoid any accident I fixed the ipad cover in the teleprompter and just need to fit the ipad to use. I can then remove the teleprompter from the tripod and carry everything assembled between shots using the camera handle. To disassemble you have to unscrew 4 screws and reverse the top plate to fit the bag provided. As it has sharp corners, the bag shows that it will not last long and will be replaced in the next 12 months I guess. The remote control is very well built and needs two AAA batteries but it doesn't work with the Teleprompter app, what is a shame as I also film myself and you have to manually set the app every time instead. I have no idea why it is included as it proved to be useless for its purpose. The glass is very thin and fragile as expected, has no color shifting but produce a veil if used against a light source. As a professional camera man I strongly recommend this product.

The device itself works extremely well, giving a very clear reflection of the white on black text from my iPad running Teleprompter app. I’ve even tried it outside, and provided I’m not in direct sunlight, it’s still good. It’s also very transparent for my cameras. I haven’t tried the supplied remote control, as I already use a Satechi Bluetooth remote regularly and I’m very familiar with this. As to value for money - I’m always torn with equipment like this, which is, in essence, very simple to manufacture and doesn’t contain much in the way of materials; however, I do appreciate that it isn’t exactly a mass market item, so per-unit returns need to be high. In real terms, I guess I also have to balance the item’s cost against how useful it is to me, and this device is already cutting down my error rate massively when I’m doing video tutorials and is therefore saving me time, so I guess it’s worth it. Although simple, it’s also well made and very solid once constructed, so I have no fears about putting a valuable camera on it. I’m now looking for a foam lined hard case of some sort, so I can transport it fully assembled, safely.This case works very well. There are some good and bad parts to this system, but before commenting on that I want to say that communication with the manufacturer over delivery was excellent. The courier they used was good too... to the point we are now thinking of swapping to their courier.The supplied equipment: The half silvered mirror works well and is good quality, the holder for the iPad works well, the spacers work well... but the problem is the panel for the camera. It's way too flimsy. I will remake this (I do CAD and design work) to fix the problem. It's a simple fix, a couple of folds down the side will make it firm to hold the camera (5DIII with 70-210 lens) without bouncing. Because it was too long it was also difficult to swap batteries on the 5DIII camera.I will also make side plates to stop light falling on the iPad (making it more like a matte box). Again not expensive to do. I will probably redesign the way the doughnut (the black cloth that stops light coming in from the back) works as it tends to fall in on lens masking the top. I will probably make it more like a matte box with a smaller 'doughnut'.The remote is a problem. Big problem. We were using the teleprompter with iAutocue software and because the remote is bluetooth it kept losing connection. I say kept losing connection within the context of we were filming a show which had discussion with sections to use the teleprompter. Every time we came to use the teleprompter the bluetooth connection had been lost. I will buy a wired one for future shows.This is not related directly to the supplied system but the other related problem I found was that the 30pin to VGA adaptor I had no longer worked because Apple had changed the software. They do now have a new one that is supposed to work, but that meant that the teleprompter operator had to be beside the screen to look at it. Not a great position.In value for money this is an good starter package. If you can do CAD/metalwork yourself then it has the option to become excellent. The cost of what I will do would only add about 50 EUR to the cost, so I would hope the manufacturer will do some of these changes themselves, either offering a 'pro' version or increasing the price to compensate.

This is a great teleprompter, quick to assemble and easy to use. Works fine with my old iPad. The only issue I had was that the first tripod I used had a plastic head assembly, and when you have the full load of teleprompter, a Canon DLSR and the iPad all supported on the tripod head it can "droop". I found I had to point the camera a few inches higher than what I actually wanted to frame because as soon as I let go of the tripod head it would sink a little. Replacing the cheap tripod with a more solid model fixed the problem (which, after all, is nothing to do with the teleprompter!) But I thought it was worth a word or warning to others trying to do this "on the cheap"!!!! Using this has totally revolutionised the process of recording videos and saved us many hours in the production process. The remote was almost useless - although it allows you to speed up and slow down the scrolling - you can't stop or start it! No good. I ended up using an iMac bluetooth keyboard to control the scrolling of the iPad instead.

Someone commented that these things should be sold cheaper because of what you get for your money. They are correct as there is very little to them.But these TeleprompterPad's are the best you will get for your money, because others are selling for twice as much and some running into thousands.There are some out there made from flimsy plastic. These are made from solid metal and solid. For what they are they are well made. But if you could mess something this simple up, then they shouldn't allow you outdoors.These will not let you down and an improvement would be the Ipad mounts. Besides that all is ok.They appear to be priced just so you can't be bothered to make one yourself. Clever.One gripe though. Mine came with a locking nut deliberately pushed down a mounting tube. There is no way this could have happened accidentally as it was firmly rammed in and the box hadn't been given to someone else previously as I check everything from Amazon. The lot nearly went back but I decided to get it out and the result is that the TeleprompterPad is quite good and well made though over priced.........as they all are.

Up until now, I have been "winging it" when creating videos up to an hour long and that meant multiple edits in post production. Doing this means you end up with a ton of jump cuts and transitions which doesn't always look great.If you write out your scripts in the way that you speak (speed, not "too" perfect English etc) and then use the teleprompter pro, your videos will look and sound that much more professional.The Teleprompter Pro is very well made, sturdy, stable and easy to set up. The carry bag is a bonus and the remote works well but I don't like uploading content to the manufacturers online app so I use a third party app (hence the slightly lower star rating for the app). You can also use a Bluetooth keyboard to control the app.This is definitely a worth while purchase but just remember to increase your ISO or aperture to allow more light in as the glass plate you shoot through will kill a couple of stops of light.Thanks guys, great product!

The product seems like good quality and fairly easy to set up with helpful videos provided. There was a design flaw in the one I received however; the T-slot (where the screw securing the camera is supposed to slide through) is too narrow. I was able to only insert and use it in the top two inches of the right hand side of the ‘T’, which is not enough range for what I need it for.The seller asked me to rewatch the instruction video, as if to suggest that I must have done it wrong. After sending them a video showing the fault I didn’t hear back from them. It’s been two days since they last replied, so I will be returning the unit today, assuming there is nothing they can or want to do about the faulty product.

Just set up my Teleprompter TP-iLight PRO with my DSLR camera and I am really pleased. Requires a little bit of set up putting it together but nothing too onerous. Feels solid and well constructed with clear instructions. Works well with any tablet or smartphone - there are plenty of teleprompter apps out there (free and paid-for). It compares favourably to similar, more expensive set ups. The reason I haven't given a full five stars is because there is no way of securing the tablet device to the front. It's a minor issue - as long as you don't mess around with the prompter too much it should stay put as it just lays flat (and the metal has a lip on it) - but it would be nice to make sure it doesn't slip off and fall to the ground by accident. Otherwise, exactly what I need - thank you!

La cosa che mi ha stupito più di tutte è la qualità della superficie riflettente: essa riflette il testo molto chiaramente anche grazie alla possibilità di inclinare la superficie per permettere alla luce essere riflessa in maniera ottimale in base alla posizione del telefono o del tablet che andrete ad utilizzare.Il montaggio è davvero semplice e intuitivo, ma se si necessita aiuto sono presenti delle guide sul sito internet dell’azienda.Un particolare di tutto rispetto è la presenza di un sistema di alloggiamenti creato per fissare la nostra camera con la vite standard per evitare cadute accidentali. Mentre nella parte inferiore potremo fissare il teleprompter al cavalletto sempre con la vite standard.Avremo così una struttura leggera, resistente, trasportabile in ogni angolo della casa in grado di facilitarci la vita nella registrazione dei nostri video.La configurazione del telecomando NON è stata esattamente rapida e indolore, ma il sito è provvisto di una guida molto chiara quindi alla fine sono riuscito a configurare il tutto. Il piccolo telecomando è comodo, e con le personalizzazioni giuste funziona ma la vera manna dal cielo è stata la possibilità di impostare un altro dispositivo iOS come telecomando.. quindi.. perché non usare direttamente l’applewatch?Evito così di tenere in mano un dispositivo esterno e quando ne ho la necessità, grazie all’applicazione per Watch Os riesco in un attimo a stoppare, tornare indietro.. insomma a gestire tutto, direttamente dal polso. In questo modo la registrazione dei video è più agevole, anche il telecomando è fattibile, ma preferisco di gran lunga alzare il braccio e premere l’orologio, anche senza guardare.Per il genere di video che faccio io il Teleprompter è consigliato, non lo utilizzo sempre, ma visto che comunque scrivo sempre uno script o comunque delle frasi chiave prima di registrare, riesco ad utilizzarlo e mi fa piacere farlo.

Me encanto el telepronter, es fácil de montar y se obtienen unos resultados excelentes y profesionales.El control que viene es super práctico y ayuda enormemente a controlar la situación con los textos.Lo que no me gusta tanto es que la pantalla sea levemente más oscura que la realidad, por lo que no me queda otra que aumentar la luminocidad del entorno, ya sea a través de luz artificial o (no tan recomendado) aumentandole el ISO a mi cámara, lo que llevaría a que tenga un poco de ruido el video final.Lo otro malo que no me gusto es la aplicación oficial ya que la veo muy limitada en sus opciones (por ejemplo, para obtener resultados imperceptibles del ojo leyendo, se necesita un nivel de achicamiento de los bordes o márgenes del texto bastante angosto, y la aplicación solo permite un pequeño achicamiento)Por lo tanto tuve que usar una aplicación -TelepronterPad- que si tenga esta opción (que a mi entender es la opción más importante de todas porque hará que no se note cuando se este leyendo el texto)De todas formas, es un producto Excelente! Recomiendo su compra.

Absolutely perfect in all regards for our use. Out of the box, quick 5 minute assembly and it's up and running. I did not use the recommended apps for either iOS or Android as I had a paid version of Teleprompter Pro from Play store. Remote works very well. However, since I did not use the recommended apps and I knew going in that I would have to tinker around with the remote to figure out button mapping. I still works perfect though. There is no double reflection of text on the class when talent stands back further than 5'. Fits my Canon SL2, SL3, RP and Blackmagic 4K cameras. Did not affect the ISO - well i didn't notice a difference as we have the subject very well lit. Fit's Apple iPAD mini, Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy S6 no problem. Even has a mount included for your cell phone if you are going to use that as a camera. If you are looking for a Teleprompter that is sturdy and well built, this is it.

A peine reçu je l’ai assemblé grâce à la vidéo sur YouTube. Super facile et rapide! J’ai fait un petit test et oh mon Dieu, pourquoi je n’ai pas acheté ça avant?! Aucun reflet, c’est parfaitement adapté à ma Sony mais fonctionne aussi avec mobile/tablette pour filmer. J’utilise mon iPhone pour le texte, tout marche très bien. La télécommande fonctionne à merveille. J’ai vu que sur d’autres produits similaires il pouvait y avoir un problème de vitesse de lecture, ici pas du tout. La télécommande a plein de fonctionnalités. L’application est très facile d’utilisation, on peut regler la taille du script et surtout les marges, ce qui me permet de ne pas avoir les yeux qui défilent de droite à gauche sur une très grande ligne pour lire et c’est donc hyper fluide au rendu. Je l’ai monté sur un petit trépied que je pose sur mon bureau et je n’ai eu aucun souci, j’avais vraiment besoin de pouvoir utiliser le trépied que j’ai déjà car convient parfaitement à la hauteur qu’il me faut pour filmer de mon bureau. Vraiment ravie d’avoir investi dans ce produit qui répond parfaitement à mes attentes!
