![The Pink Panther Film Collection [5 Film] [DVD] [2020]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81AOdzfi4UL._AC_SL3840_.jpg)

A box set of five Pink Panther films. 'The Pink Panther' (1963) was the launch of the Pink Panther series and introduced Peter Sellers as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau who becomes determined to capture a jewel thief who has lifted the infamous 'Pink Panther' diamond. Little does he know that his wife's lover and thief are the same man. Leaving a trail of destruction in his path, Sellers brings his comic genius to the film. In 'A Shot in the Dark' (1964) Sellers returns as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau trying to clear a beautiful parlour maid's name of murder, despite all the evidence to the contrary. With a memorable scene in a nudist colony. In 'The Pink Panther Strikes Again' (1976) the French detective (Sellers) has stumbled his way up to the position of Chief Inspector, displacing his long-suffering boss Inspector Dreyfuss (Herbert Lom), who has turned to a life of crime in an effort to bump him off. Dreyfuss kidnaps the inventor of a death ray and demands the sacrifice of Clouseau in return. Clouseau then has to hide in many disguises in order to capture Dreyfuss and the machine and save himself and the world! 'The Revenge of the Pink Panther' (1978) finds Inspector Clouseau surviving an assassination attempt but he then hides from the world and now everyone think he's dead. Using this cover story he takes the opportunity to continue his investigations alone. The last Pink Panther film Sellers made before his death. Finally, in 'Trail of the Pink Panther' (1982) a journalist (Joanne Lumley) is interviewing people who came into contact with the late Inspector Clouseau for an article in tribute to the great detective. Made two years after Peter Sellers' death, and featuring a string of outtakes from the earlier Pink Panther films. Review: It maybe old, but it'll still make you grin - You probably already know Seller's work so is it worth telling you about this box set? Um, well maybe if you don't know his work and you're thinking will it work as a gift for a film buff or a slightly older target audience that likes comedey? The answer is Yes. Yes it will. OK it does show the age it was made in, especially on the first film. (As in the setting, the technical quality is fine). But so what, its still one of the world's funniest guys at the top of his game....... Or maybe more accurately its several of the funniest guys at the top of their game. The DVD quality itself is fine, no problems at all. Review: Fantastic - We bought these DVDs to introduce our daughter (age 14) to Clouseau - she is a fan of Johnnie English and Mr Bean so we hoped she would like the Pink Panther movies. We've not watched them all yet, but what we have seen has been enjoyed... it was great for me and my husband to watch these again and and we'd forgotten just how silly and absolutely hilarious they are!

Four good films, and one awful one
I hadn't seen these in years, so thought I'd buy and watch the box set over Christmas. Avoiding spoilers (for anyone who hasn't seen them, or at least hasn't seen them for a while)... The first film isn't really about Clouseau. He's a prominent but still incidental character. It has elements of farce and some slapstick clumsiness, but not to the degree of the three that follow. Second, third and fourth films are probably the classics. This is where Clouseau's clumsy incompetence is played for maximum laughs. The fifth film was made after Peter Sellers' death, using existing footage. It's like watching a feature length version of one of those flashback episodes you get in TV series, when the budget has run out, but they still have one last episode to make. It stands along with Blues Brothers 2000 as a film that will only stay in my DVD collection because it's part of a box set, with far better films in it.

Comedy genius
This collection of Pink Panther films starring the brilliant Peter Sellers is a great value for the price. Sellers was a very clever actor and his portrayal of the detective prone to bumbling buffoonery was as close to comedy genius as you'll ever see in film. I'm sure many other actors and comedians studied his work and tried to copy his methods and style.

Klasyka
Niezastąpiony Peter Sellers w roli inspektora policji. Niestety, brakuje w tej kolekcji filmu "Powrót Różowej Pantery". Ten można zdobyć osobno.

Great collection off this classical movie set
A trip down memory lane, reliving the memory off this classical set of Blacke Edwards comedy achievements with the accompanying music of Hank Mancini soundtracks. A total winner,, when watching the complete set in one sitting.

Great Value
i have been a big Peter Sellers fan for many years. And if you are one; it is worth every cent. Even though in Canada there is no longer a cent coin. Yet, They have 4 decimal points to compare a Canadian dollar to an American one.Example .7867 cents ?
