Roughneck ROU38010 Turboclamp One-Handed Speed Clamp 150mm (6in)

Great clamps , very good holding power . Will not move when sawing , A good all rounder

I’ve been really impressed with the Roughneck ROU38010 Turboclamp. The one-handed operation is genuinely useful and makes a big difference when you’re working alone or need to hold pieces in place quickly. The clamp action is smooth, strong, and feels very secure for its size. The 150mm capacity is ideal for most DIY and workshop jobs, and the build quality feels solid and durable. It grips well without slipping and is easy to release and reposition. Overall, a very useful clamp that does exactly what it promises.

I've used these 1-handed clamps (different manufactureres) for over 30 years for all my woodworking jobs. They are effective and simple to use and this one is no exception. Being the 6 inch version it is definitely more robust than the 4 inch versions; the central rod is a thicker diameter and you really can achieve a high clamping force without marking the work thanks to the fairly broad nylon heads. The modern plastic clamps are okay, but I've had them break on me a few times now. These clamps won't break. Why 4 stars then? A minor niggle, but the two clamp heads are about 1/4" out of line when fully closed which isn't a problem, just annoying.

By far the best of it's type, really solid with proper welded joint between handle & body.

I would have given these clamps a higher rating but for an absolutely idiotic act by the manufacturers Roughneck. Some fool in the marketing department at Roughneck clearly thought it would be a good idea to further promote the product by having a very large sticky brand & product description label stuck right around the shaft of each clamp (see photo). Whilst the label remains in place it is impossible to open/adjust the clamp. What's worse is that the label is made from a water resistant material and therefore cannot be easily removed. First you have to tear as much off as you can, then you have to painstakingly scrape off the remainder as it comes away in tiny pieces at a time. Finally you have to remove all of the sticky residue with white spirit. Ten minutes work per clamp later, you can finally start to use them! Just to make it absolutely clear, this idiocy is the work of the manufacturer not the retailer. So by all means buy the clamp, they are pretty good quality and good value, but be prepared to have to spend time cleaning them before use! Maybe the retailer(s) could highlight Roughneck's stupidity to them.

I’m thoroughly impressed with this One-Handed Speed Clamp. Its one-handed operation makes it incredibly convenient and easy to use with just one hand, which makes my DIY projects so much smoother and faster. The build quality feels solid, and the clamp exerts a strong, even pressure. I particularly appreciate the quick-release button, which allows for swift adjustments. Overall, it’s a reliable tool that has made my DIY projects easier. Highly recommended.

J’en ai acheté deux c est deux de trop une salopperie qui sert pas les pièces je suis partie sur les serre joint rouge solo voilà ceux qui fonctionne !!!

These are identical to the no longer available SOLO clamps, or appear to be not available. I have owned two sets ie 4 clamps of the SOLO version for ? Well since God was a lad ! The roughneck version differ only in that the black trigger handle is some sort of plastic and the pressure is applied by direct point to point contact ( SOLO apply pressure via a right angled flange no doubt to eliminate slip ). The white clamping pads on the Roughneck are a softer plastic, which is good, less risk of damage to the work piece. However more pressure is required to ensure a sound grip. Rating against the SOLO is 90%, not withstanding I can not gauge how long the handle/trigger will last. Please also bear in mind I have been searching for additional/replacement clamps of any serious quality for years and I mean years. I have tried through many styles, makes and never had any as good as my original SOLO clamps. The Roughneck clamps are worth the money.
