Exactly as I was expecting.

great book for upper level undergraduates or graduate students. reads like a reference book in that if you know your problem or what you want to find, it will be easy to pick this book up and find it. useful mechanisms and diagrams for all topics discussed. topics range from simple 18-electron rule to nitty gritty of reaction chemistry for transition metals. very useful for those who want to explore the world of inorganic coordination chemistry. many ligand types are discussed and their impact on steric and electronic effects is presented.
