Nothing like a true violet scent :(
So, I really don't want to rate this poorly, I feel really bad about doing so, but this scent is not violet. This initially smells like lilac when you smell the cap then you pick up freesia and faint rose (not like that beautiful rose smell, but more like that sharp fake rose smell you find in cheap soap) when you use test a small amount on skin. It doesnt have sweet violet smell at all. After being confident that this was a true violet scent (which I understand is difficult to achieve since I can't find an actual violet essential oil) upon reading another review stating that this is the scent of the violets in someone's back yard, I'm extremely disappointed. I really hoped a true violet scent had been achieved by this brand and this is definitely not it. Sorry, P & J.
