Keebler Simply Made Cookies, Butter, 10 oz

I bought these in hopes they would make a good companion to my warm drinks this winter. I had considered Walkers shortbread, but they were much more expensive, so I decided to look for an alternative before stocking up on them. I’m so so glad I found these!They have excellent flavor, hold up well with a hot beverage, and the ingredient list looks like that of a packaged cookie you would pay 3X as much for.I’m already on my fourth purchase, and so long as the price doesn’t increase too much, I intend to keep purchasing them!

I can tell if there's no butter in any store-bought cookie and so don't like many of them. Was very happy that Keebler offers a product with so FEW ingredients (not a lot of chemicals listed like the rest) and the taste of this and their chocolate chip cookies are very good. Crisp cookies, not soft, but I think the chemicals are what make other purchased cookies soft, so this is actually a good thing.

With this horrendous Covid-19 Virus Crisis I have been doing 99 percent of my shopping on line, and the vast majority of the time the service has been great. I have always loved most of the Keebler brand of cookies and since I ran out of this desert I ordered 2 packages of (Keebler simply made butter cookies, 10 oz. packages) from Amazon for a real bargain price.The service was super-fast receiving the cookies the day after I ordered them on line. I enjoyed the taste of these cookies especially when dunked in my coffee in the morning. I am a big fan of shortbread cookies and these are a very nice variation on that theme. "Simply Made Butter" cookies have a crisp clean taste with No annoying additives to muddle up the taste and flavor. Move over Lorn Doone , Walkers Shortbread and Danish butter cookies we got a new favorite coming on board. Good value, nicely packed and very tasty.

I don't know if they are intended to be this way or if I happened to get a package which is on the verge of being stale (which some reviewers stated theirs were), but these cookies are VERY hard (another problem some reviewers had). I haven't had a Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookie in some years but I recall them being similarly hard to these (no disrespect to Nabisco intended), only these are more dense (think Scottish shortbread-type density...only not in a good way), making them difficult to bite into. Not rock hard, mind you, but DEFINITELY harder than I prefer. I was expecting them to be almost identical to Keebler Sandies and Pecan Sandies in degree of hardness/density but, sadly, they are not.They don't taste bad. In fact, in my humble opinion, they don't have much flavor at all. What little flavor I did detect was fairly good but, again, not what I prefer.Because I don't know if they are intended to be this way or not (in regard to the hardness/density), I don't feel right giving a lower star-rating. My rating is based solely on my personal preferences.

These are a great deal and a rare find, I was very excited to order two packages, sadly the outer packing was a bit roughed up but I didn’t pay any real attention. After sharing and enjoying the first package I was saddened to find that the second one suffered from the packing mishap, the pull tab was oddly open and had been pushed or pulled back to expose the open cookies, and I was missing three cookies to boot. So it looks like someone opened and snatched a quick handful. My wife made me toss them immediately.

This is comparable to the well-known butter shortbread by the Britts! The secret is, as they list on the packaging, the use of simple and real ingredients: Flour, butter, and sugar. The size and texture of each shortbread is just right too!! Each shortbread reminds me that it doesn't take a million dollars to enjoy life - a simple butter shortbread is enough!

I don’t write all that many reviews, but I had to write about this product. I had never heard of Keebler Simply Made Butter cookies, but being allergic to chocolate and nuts I’m always looking for a specific type of cookie. As soon as I took a bite I immediately ordered more. This one is perfect. If you are a Walkers shortbread fan, as well as similar types, this might be the cookie for you.
