Good bread
This bread is soooo good! I like it best toasted for breakfast with jam and butter, but it makes a nice healthy sandwich bread. I feel satiated but not heavy after eating it. And it's packaged to last in your pantry for awhile before opening, so I can stay stocked up.

I have no doubt it nutritious. loaf is dense/heavy. imo needs a lot of sweetening
while i have no doubt this bread is loaded with nuticrian, it is not sliced vertically to go into a toaster. for some reason it's sliced horizontally. if you're looking for a "sweet" bread pass this one by as it is not. it is however a dense heavy loaf. if you do bye it i'd look to adding something to it to sweeten it up considerably.

Great bread...but order more than one package.
If you like German style bread, this one is authentic. It's been a family favorite for years and I was pleased to find it on Amazon after we moved 4 hours from our closest German market. I will say, order more than one package (two to a package). Our first test order was one package. Because it was small, they sent it in soft sided packaging. It arrived a bit squished with some of the slices broken. So on my next shipment I ordered 3 packages and they came in a box. Bingo! It worked. I just freeze the rest til ready.

A true german taste
Its like being back in Germany. Soooo good. One slice fills you better than 3 slices of so called rye bread from my mexican bakery.

Unusual But Good
The flavor is overpowering. It is dense. The slices are thin and don't hold up well for sandwiches. This is nothing like any bread I've experienced before. That said, I find that by itself just toasted with butter, it is an enjoyable experience and pairs nicely with coffee.

Not what I expected. Not very good at all. A waste of money.
