Wonderful product, great way to frontload my day with protein!

I have added this to my smoothies and my oatmeal. It mixes well and leaves no gritty or weird flavor. This is a great way to add plant protein to your daily routine.

This is the best pea protein mix. I like that there are no added sugars or flavors. I usually mix frozen blueberries, kale, and either a half of an organic banana or a few pieces of pineapple. I also use filtered water.

Of the pea protein powders I've tried so far, this one is far and away my favorite. I really like its texture and slightly-sweet natural flavor. But I took off one star for the lame plastic pouch it came in. The two-pound size comes in a cylindrical paperboard canister with metal bottom and top rim, and a plastic lid. Aside from the plastic lid, it's all biodegradable. The metal is totally recyclable if you want to separate it for scrap. The size, shape, and rigidity make the container easy to work with. All in all, pretty thoughtful packaging. However, this review is for the five-pound size, which unfortunately comes in a plastic pouch with several annoying characteristics: - The zip lock seal on the pouch does not work. At all. I really tried, and could not get it to close even partially. I finally gave up, rolled it down, and secured it with a bag clip. - There is a powdery coating on the outside of the bag that gives it a slightly gritty texture to the touch. No idea what that could be from, or if it's intentional. - There is a faint, perfumey, synthetic fragrance on the outside of the bag. Why is that necessary? - The pouch is not recyclable or biodegradable at all. The label refers to it as an "environmentally-friendly pouch", "made with Post-Consumer Recycled material as part of our commitment to sustainability." In my view, there's nothing sustainable about this. They just slowed down some plastic on it's way into a landfill or the ocean. - The pouch is messy to work with. Some powder always seems to spill or escape while it's being scooped out. I found the pouch so impractical that I dumped half its contents into the paperboard canister I still had from my 2-pound purchase. Next time I'll buy the 2-pound container, even though it costs a little more per pound. It appears the 1-pound size also comes in a plastic pouch. I hope Sprout Living will go to paperboard canisters for all their sizes. If they applied themselves, they could surely think of a way to do away with the metal and plastic components as well. Remember how oats used to come in a 100% paperboard canister? We have the technology for this...

I’ve used 2 other pea proteins before this, and both of them were extremely disgusting in flavor and texture. Both were flavorless. One didn’t mix well and clumped up really bad, even when using a blender. The other one had the consistency of sand, no matter how much water or milk I would add. I could not make these work and went back to regular whey protein. I decided to give pea protein another shot since my current protein had too much sodium and too many ingredients like maltodextrin. I’m starting to clean up my diet as I don’t want all these chemicals in my body anymore. Which is why I like how there is literally only 1 ingredient in this, the peas. This protein does not taste good to me in my opinion. But the texture is insanely better than the others I’ve tried. The texture is smooth if you add enough water. I’ve used it for a week and only had problems with clumping 1 time, but I could have shaken it better as I was in a rush to drink it. But even the clumps aren’t as bad for me. I don’t rate on flavor because when I buy a supplement, I buy it for the results it provides me. And this a great amount of protein for the price. Not the cheapest pea protein though, but I’ve had Cheap pea protein and that was literally undrinkable to me. So even though the taste isn’t great (for shakes) it’s way better than the rest. I can’t say much on this as a cooking ingredient for cookies and such, but this gets 5 stars from me

I like to mix up my protein to reduce adaptation. This product has great qualities but the taste is sub-par and it does not blend well for smooth drinks. Its good to use in food for baking. Its just too gritty and leaves a residue even when I blend it using a high powered blender

Love this! The taste is mild, it combines into a very smooth food and adds to many things to bump up my protein. Only thing missing is a statement about safety and lab testing.

This protein is perfect for my needs. It has only one ingredient, no extras. It's non-dairy and it mixes well with a shake. After a workout or ride, I mix one scoop of this and one scoop of the pumpkin seed protein from the same company into a shake if pistachio milk, peanut butter and and raspberries. I buy it every month and highly recommend it.

Amazing product! I've tried a few powders and found this to be the best tolerated by my sensitive gut. I don't notice the taste when mixed in with my breakfast cereal (can't drink it with just water) and it fills me up for the morning.

The texture of pea protein is very fine. Almost like a flour. The taste is neutral with slight saltness.
