I’ve been using the EIBOS Cyclopes Filament Dryer, and it’s easily one of the best 3D printing accessories I’ve added to my setup. In just 40 minutes, it dropped the humidity from 45% to 20%—a clear sign it’s doing its job. The temperature heats up quickly, and the built-in fan helps distribute heat evenly across the spools. What really stands out is how quiet it is. It's almost whisper-silent; any ambient noise easily drowns out what little sound it makes. The rollers inside the box spin smoothly, and the multiple filament exit points are incredibly convenient for setup flexibility. It fits up to two 1kg spools perfectly and functions great as both a dryer and spool feeder while printing. This is a must-have if you’re dealing with moisture-sensitive filaments like nylon or if you’re looking to restore old, brittle spools. Highly recommended for anyone who wants reliable filament drying without the noise or hassle!

Order arrived fast, it was easy to use, and it did the job well. I love being able to dry more than one roll at a time, or have the option to do larger rolls. Another pro is that you can feed from the unit while drying, so it makes for a great option to use with TPU or other filaments that need to stay particularly dry.

First and only filament dryer I have owned. I knew going into this dryer that it had its set backs. The first thing I did before ever using it was printing the modification to lift the spools up higher from the heating element. I have used this for PLA and PETG, so far it has worked great. Zero issues The manual has a temp and time chart for various filament types, that is handy to have. It has a relatively small footprint for being able to dry two spools as once.

Bought this specifically to dry TPU. I had seen a few on line reviews and and it appeared to be a solid performer. The unit I received would not take any of the material below 20% even after 12hours of drying. Sending back for a replacement and if that's the same, I guess I'll get someone else machine and hope it performs.

This is my second one of these. Bought the first one over a year ago and it's still working great. I'm in Northern Minnesota which means 60-90% humidity in the summer, so drying is necessary for about every type of filament I use, even PLA. The other types range from PLA to PC/Carbon Fiber, PETG, & occasionally Nylon and PVA, all of which MUST be dried to use. I switched to this unit after trying other cheaper ones that don’t have a fan, which is necessary to circulate air around the rolls evenly. I don't use it connected directly to the printer, but rather, I dry the filament to the recommended settings and use a food sealer to shrink wrap it or put it directly in a Rubbermaid 21-cup dry box with desiccant which I have a number of as I have 6 printers, 2 of which are IDEX and require two dry boxes each. I also use the unit to dry the desiccant using a box I made that wouldn't fit one of the small units. What I like: - Because it has great circulation of the warm air, the rolls don't have to be turned part-way through the dry cycle. Just turn it on and forget it. It also cycles the fan on and off to keep the temperature consistent. - It's quiet, with only a very light fan noise. - It holds two rolls of any standard-size filament spool & will hold 4, or even 6 of the narrow rolls by putting 1 in the front and 1 in the back turned sideways. - The temperature is adjustable from 40 - 70 C, which covers all ranges of filament. - The time is adjustable from 1 minute to 23 hours & 59 minutes. What could be improved: - An optional top without the holes for the Bowden tubes and a flap that closes when it's finished with the drying cycle. The problem is, once the cycle stops, humid air will get back in over time, so you need to remove it and shrink-wrap it, or put it in the Rubbermaid dry box & seal it. As of now, I just put pieces of tape over the Bowden holes, and for the top holes, a piece of paper with tape on one side to act as a hinge. When it stops, the paper covers the holes so I don't have to remove the filament right away. - It’s not cheap compared to other models, but then they don’t have all the features it has, so you get what you pay for. Honestly, I’ve found the price well worth it because it does such consistent drying all around the roll, something I noticed was a serious problem with many of the single-roll dryers. They don’t have enough space around the roll to allow adequate air circulation. All in all, I highly recommend it.

I don't have many negative things to say about this dryer, other than having to slightly modify it to stop it from heating my filament too much, but other than that it's been a pure dream. The dryer has 2 spots for filaments or one big filament roll and that is honestly more than enough if you have 1 or 2 printers, I'm not a big fan of changing filaments because the encasing is just cumbersome especially when you have filament already feeding through but there is not much that can be done about that. The temperature control is very nice and the timer is a big plus, I don't like to leave it on too long so being able to set it on a timer and know it will be off when the timer goes off that it gives me peace of mind. The drying times are reasonable, and I've tested it many times. I normally have it set for 55c and run it for 5-6 hours with PETG inside I've tried it at 60+ for 2 hours as they recommend but it gets kind of warm in the room. The dryer is fairly easy to use and it's such a small footprint that you can easily put it anywhere and it won't even look out of place! The build quality is OK. It does not feel like it's made of gold but for something that is supposed to get so hot, it does hold up very well. I've had this machine for a little over a month now, and It still looks brand new. Customer service is not bad overall, I had to contact them a few times and they made things right, and the responses were reasonable. I'm glad they did a price reduction on this item as honestly $159 dollars was kind of steep, I think at its current price it's more than reasonably priced and you honestly won't regret getting an Eibos.

I just had to have this filament dryer. It has the ability to not only direct feed while drying it can do it with two spools at the same time! The Cyclopes has a timer you can set so you can dry filament for however long or short of a time you want. It also has a built in thermostat that you set so you don't use to much heat or too little heat depending on the filament you are drying. I used several different brands of filament spools and had no issue with them fitting. I know you can even put a single 3kg spool inside the Cyclopes with no problem. I mostly use 1kg spools but it is nice to know using 3kg spools with this dryer is available should I need it. There are six bowden tube spots on the top, two on the back and two on the front. Making the Cyclopes extremely versatile so you can directly feed filament to your 3D printer from pretty much any location while the Cyclopes is drying filament. It is also very quiet so operating it while you are in the same room will not be a problem. The vent is angled so the warm air circulating does not directly hit the filament you are drying causing one spot to get hot on your spool. The warm air circulates around inside the dryer and escapes from the top cover taking moisture with it so it is not trapped inside. This is one amazing filament dryer and I can not say enough about it. I have posted some photos and hope you will find them useful. I very highly recommend this filament dryer!

Best filament dryer on the market, but the bearings for use while printing royally suck. The dryer works great and ejects the humidity out the holes in the top, rather than just keeping it trapped inside, unlike most dryers. However, the bearings inside the unit are really really lousy--probably ABEC-1. I highly recommend they upgrade to ABEC-9 bearings to make prints really smooth. As-is, the roughness of the bearings degrades print quality if you try to print while drying. I don't, however. I just print and dry separately currently. I'll see if I can manually print some adapters and upgrade the bearings to ABEC-9 myself someday. Anyway, buy it! Great dryer. Best on market. TO EIBOS: please upgrade to ABEC-9 bearings inside the unit to make printing while drying much much better!
