This monitor was a productivity boost for me. Very impressed.
I needed a monitor for home office work, but at the same time usable for creative applications, in particular photo and video editing. The U2720Q has a good resolution which was important, because the creative applications have so many panes, that the image/video preview area can be small on other monitors. I have been using the monitor for several weeks now (Update: I have used this monitor now for more than one year, and I am still very happy with it) and my productivity has improved immensely. For office work, having multiple documents visible on the screen and not having them fight for space has made a difference. For general photo and video editing, I love the resolution and colours. I now feel a lot more confident to make image edits. I'm using Capture One and Resolve. They both are very usable with this monitor's resolution. The 27 inch size seems ideal for the distance that a monitor is expected to be placed (i.e. at end of desk, outstretched fingertip distance according to working best practice guidelines). At a normal height (seated at typical 75 cm tall desk) with the top of the monitor set to be in line with the eyes, I have plenty of space underneath the monitor for laptop, pen holder/mug etc., so it is space-saving too. I did not use the supplied monitor stand although it looks very good. Instead I'm using the VESA mount screw-holes (100x100mm) with a desk-clamped arm, simply because I already had this, and so I've got a bit more space underneath the monitor freed up. The screen is matt, which is great, and the brightness and colour is very even.. perhaps a few millimetres of lightness at the extreme corner is visible. I can move my head from side to side and the colour and brightness does not noticeably change. The colours are bright and the image is of course sharp, through the USB-C and HDMI connections. One annoying thing is that the monitor configuration buttons are small and very stiff to press, which makes it unpleasant to switch from one input to another. It's annoying because I frequently use two PCs sharing mouse and keypad and monitor. Still, it's a minor issue I guess. There are USB sockets on the monitor, and they 'just work' when USB-C is being used for the video connection between the PC/laptop and the monitor. It works great with my 15" Surface Book 2 which doesn't have a lot of USB ports built-in. It also powers the Surface Book 2. There is a setting on the laptop to configure the battery to only charge to 50%, so that it can be used for extended periods like this, to preserve the internal battery quality. There are a lot of comments about the bezel, but I've not seen an issue so far. I had a look closely at the bezel, and the photo explains it more. Basically, the LCD glass extends all the way to within 1mm of the size of the monitor. The plastic portion of the bezel is really just 1mm. the LCD glass has a black border of around 5mm. As can be expected, the LCD glass cannot be gripped internally right at the edge, unless it was permanently glued in, which it isn't. So, you can gently press on the LCD glass and it will flex in slightly if you press right at the edge of the glass. I'm guessing the people who had issues, may have had warped plastic bezel, rather than warped glass! However the monitor doesn't seem to run hot (I run it for all day), just very slightly warm, and there are air vents at the top too. Perhaps it was an early production issue. This monitor is quite sophisticated, it has a lot of configurability, and features I have not even explored yet. I am very happy with it. In summary, this seems a great, reasonably future-proof monitor with modern inputs and a spectacularly good image quality. The low heat output and good quality brand name leads me to think this monitor may provide many years of good service.

4k Makes Such A Difference
This monitor is excellent and represents good quality at it's price point. 60hz 4k transforms my workday. I still use some older HD monitors and the difference between them and this is night and day. If I am away from my home monitor for a week or so and using HD monitors away from home then when I come back this blows my mind everytime. Hopefully one day soon we will have affordable 8k 240hz monitors (I can dream!) but for the time being, 4k 60hz is what everyone should be using! As an Architect I work with CAD and various DTP software which obviously benefits from 4k as I am able to fit more detail onto my screen and lineweights display closer to the way they would appear on a printed page. The reality is though that even basic tasks benefit from the additional resolution - being able to see more cells in Excel spreadsheets, having more email folders on screen in Outlook or even being able to see multiple pages of a Word document at once. This monitor really does improve productivity. The monitor has inputs for HDMI, USB-C and DisplayPort, so I am able to have 3 devices hooked up at once. The buttons for controlling the monitor settings are horrible to use, but thankfully the application 'Dell Display Manager' (which can be downloaded from Dell's website for free) allows you to programme keyboard shortcuts to toggle the monitors source input, meaning that you shouldn't need to use the monitor buttons very often. There is a USB hub (although not KVM switch which could have been useful). I have used the hub occasionally, however I found that my mouse was not running smoothly when connected through the monitor. This could be a problem with my laptop or the USB-C cable rather than the monitor. The USB-C cable which is supplied with the monitor is very short. As other reviewers have pointed out, the bezels of the monitor are not particularly well built and if you look closely (especially at the bottom bezel of my monitor) there are manufacturing discrepancies. This does not impact the monitors performance however and unless you look closely, it still looks very smart on the desk.

Great 4K Monitor, highly recommended
After reading the reviews for this monitor here on Amazon I was feeling hesitant to order this monitor but it just looked so good with regards to its "infinity display" design. And by that I'm talking about the very thin plastic bezel around the edge of the display. But my concerns were unwarranted as the display is absolutely gorgeous. I'm no stranger to display technology and I consider myself quite picky when it comes to how I like my displays to look (colour temperature, contrast, brightness, viewing angles etc). And although this isn't a professional display with a wide colour gamut it is a true 8-bit IPS panel with 175 degree viewing angles. Some other reviewers have commented about flickering when connected to certain computers. Initially I also experienced this issue but it turned out that the included Display Port to Mini-Display Port cable is not very well shielded and when draped across an AC power cord (like the one that powers the monitor) it would cause interference which manifested itself in the display and computer disconnecting from each other. Simply moving the cables apart fixed this issue and I have not once had it happen since I did that. The picture quality is really nice, inside the box you get a piece of paper indicating the display has been calibrated by Dell from the factory. This is common with their displays going back many years. I would say that they did a great job, it was setup around 50% brightness, 50% sharpness and all the colours look great to me. I have some other monitors which have also been calibrated and its colours, temperature and contrast look about the same as those which is to say, very good. The only thing I don't like about the display is when you disconnect it from a computer it doesn't go into standby straight away. Instead it brings up a timer counting down 4 minutes and then it enters standby. This doesn't occur if the computer is simply being shutdown while connected to the display which means this issue is really only confined to people using the display with a laptop. It's not a huge deal of course it's just a little quirk that I find annoying. Apart from that the display is great, the super-slim bezels coupled with what I would consider an amazing IPS 4K panel make for a great display. If you don't need or want bezels this small (I measured them with a tape measure to be 4mm thick with no extra blank space between the bezel and the LCD pixels) then you will likely be able to find an alternative 4K monitor for around £400. This display as of this review was £600. For me the slim bezels were worth taking a chance. One last thing to note, it does come with a 100x100 vesa mount and does include the four screws you would need to use that mount. The stand that comes with the monitor doesn't need any tools to fit, you just put it in place and it locks itself down. The stand is quite nice offering a wide freedom of motion and looks quite stylish, as does the entire monitor really.

Good (when used with a single input)
This won't be a comprehensive review as my experience mostly matches that of professional reviewers (e.g. rthings) The colours, while balance are very good, viewing angles are worse than advertised when viewed in a bright room, due to the screen not being fully matte, the backlight uniformity is good, blacks levels are not, there is that dust collecting gap between the screen and the weak plastic frame, etc. But one thing I feel I need to specifically address are the buttons and UI. The buttons are just ridiculously bad - they are kind of pin style and require way too much force to press. In fact, the monitor moves half a centimeter up on press before the button gives in and I'm left with a corresponding indent on my fingertip for some 10 seconds (although here your mileage may vary). From my not-very-scientific test using a kitchen scale, it takes 1.5 kg of force to press any of those 2 mm diameter buttons! Only the On/Off button feels slightly more civilized. I have moved to this monitor from a 10 year old Dell UltraSharp and the button experience is like moving from a modern mid-class car to a 50 year old tractor. Whoever designed that should be barred from industrial design forever. The UI overlay is super low resolution, it looks plain awful. I thought something was malfunctioning when I first saw it. Another related annoyance is the slow switching between inputs, which additionally renders the On/Off button temporarily unresponsive - e.g. when I first turn off the connected PC, the monitor starts looking for other sources of signal and can't be turned off for like 2 seconds or so. All in all it's a good monitor, should do fine until I can afford myself an OLED, which will be huge step up due to the poor blacks on this one. But the experience becomes way less enjoyable when using it with multiple input devices and having to often switch between them. The ergonomics in that area is very bad.

Outstanding 4K IPS Monitor!
I received this monitor earlier on today after ordering it yesterday with prime. Firstly, It was a hard choice for me to decide between getting this or the older Dell P2715Q which has a lot of really great reviews. I am glad that I decided to take the risk and go with this monitor, even with the fairly mixed reviews it has received online so far. The screen is very crisp and the colours are punchy, and also the build quality is impressive with the stupidly thin bezels and incredibly versatile stand. So far I’ve spent a couple of hours with it connected via a display port 1.2 cable to my MacBook Pro and it works perfectly. This is what I’m primeraly going to be using it for as I work I the audio industry (using software such as ProTools, Logic Pro X, Abelton mainly). I have also tested it briefly with my Xbox One X just out of curiosity (playing Far Cry 5, Gears of War 4 and Fortnite) and it performed great, definitely making the most of the monitors HDR capabilities. If you can’t tell, I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this monitor. If you end up picking one up too, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Amazing Monitors for Mac and PC!
Beautiful monitors. Look great as dual monitors and can be moved easily. Work perfectly with my MacBook (2019) and windows Razer Blade Stealth (2020). These can be swivelled 180 degrees to show portrait views and have sharp colour settings. Great feature: The USB ports on the side of the monitors sync with the computer, for example, when I connected my usb capture card (which is connected to my Sony camera via micro hdmi) to my monitors external USB port the capture card / camera was detected on my laptop - a pleasant change as most USB ports are charge only. This may be linked to the fact they have DisplayPort to USB connections or the fact they’re USB 3.0. Useful tip: Due to the number of usb ports, I’d recommend anyone getting an external hub (not the cheap dongle kind, get a decent hub like Ankers USB-C hub with extra hdmi and USB ports. The Anker hub allows laptop charging via the hub with100w power delivery) Overall: Great looking monitors, easy to setup tho I struggled with daisy chaining so just connected them to my hub via hdmi. They’re really good value for money and ideal for home office setup. I previously had a HP 27” IPS Monitor before switching to these two 24” bezel less Dell monitors.

Great monitor for Photographic Work
Having previously purchased four Dell Ultrasharp monitors since 2009, for me this was a logical progression as I found working with two screens messy. The curved display is high quality, sharp with accurate colour and has a logical menu and button arrangement. After nearly fours months of use I have found no discernible niggling issues in speak of. I am a person in my seventies with touchwood good vision and often wear prescription glasses that provide some added sharpness when using the monitor set about 0.8m away. The Dell Display Manager is a great tool and allows me to segment the screen as required. Overall an excellent purchase for me. The only downside was the price I paid back in May (£837), today I see Amazon are selling the same model for £607 !! Hey Ho.

Disappointed by Dell for the third time in a row
Pros: - Supports sRGB and P3 colour gamut. Colours are bright and well saturated. - 4K in 27inch means the image and text is much sharper. Though this applies to almost all 27 4K displays anyway. - Monitor stand as in many Dell displays is well build and ergonomic. Easy to set height, rotate and swivel. Cons: - Build quality is absolutely terrible. Bottom edge of the frame was already stated tearing apart. - OSD buttons below not easy to press at all. Because they were attached to the frame below that coming apart. - Later discovered that the bottom right of the panel was sticking out about 1-2mm and not flushed to the frame as it normally should be. - The colours in the area that panel sticks out were faded as well. Pressing the panel slightly inside brought back the colours. This is a brand new monitor. Unbelievable. - With further inspection I found out the monitor not even sticked together well enough. You can feel certain vibrations when tapping back of the casing meaning there are hollow areas where the connection of parts should stick together. - Also, of course, the backlight bleed. I don't mind it normally. But it was like a faded light source into the room rather than a black screen. Compared it to BenQ PD2700U that I purchased the same day. BenQ was far better on managing backlight bleed. - White uniformity was another problem. There were shades on white surfaces. To see the correct white colour, I had to change the angle I look at the monitor. I know this is ridiculous given that it's an IPS display. I had a u2715h 4 years ago that was brilliantly made. I had no problem with it. Now I can see how miserably Dell fails in quality control these days. There are people saying they have no problem with this unit but I say that's just luck. Out of 4 dell purchases I made, 3 of them are sent back. Here's a summary of that: 1. U2715H - 2016 - No problem. Works fine after 4 years. 2. U2515Q - 2019 - Grey lines on screen. A common problem with these units. Sent back. 3. U3515W - 2020 - Random black screen while connected to my 2014 or 2019 Macbooks. Sent back. 4. U2720Q - 2020 - All the issues I mentioned above. Returned. 5. U2720Q - 2020 - Ordered another one just to be proved wrong. I was right. Inconsistent colours. Returned. If you feel lucky, try your chance. Otherwise, stay away. In this price range I experienced similar issues with other brands as well. All use the same IPS panels from the same manufacturer. If you are a designer and looking for a decent 4k monitor with consistent colour production, you may need to go for monitors priced above £1000.

Monitor Premium

Upgrade for Dell's U2713H - Same Value, 'way less money
U2719D seems to replace U2713H in Dell's product line. I own both, having bought the older U2713H around 2015 for hundreds more than this latest D model, which has a completely redesigned case and stand, very nice, thinner border around the edge, for those who care. Both models have DP-in and DP-out ports which I wanted. The only surprise came when plugging into an HP ProDesk machine running W7-Pro, apparently the DisplayPort drivers automatically seized the audio output and redirected to the monitor (which has speakers). I had my own sound system plugged directly into the HP, but that output was no longer active: Suddenly No Sound! A quick check of the OS control panel revealed the monitor as the output device for audio...changing that back to the system default made everything 'wonderful again'. I've been pleased with the older U2713H and HM models (I own three; 2xHM, 1xH), and this D model is every bit as good as the H. Color is great, brightness great, no discernible dead pixels. (Note: I'm not using this for gaming, so can't speak to refresh speeds). This monitor seems to be targeted at graphic designers, but that is not what I'm using it for, so I can't speak to whether it meets those requirements., but if the U2713H model worked for you, this U2719D should also: No discernible drop in quality associated with the drop in price. "Yes!"

Seste kesilmeler oluyor.
