Avg Joe/Josephine Looking for a chair? Read this
Hi, I am here to review this chair. I bought it during COVID-19 because I need to work from home now. I am unbiased, no-one has paid me to do this, and I consider myself a generally reasonable human being. This chair cost me roughly $135. It's a chair. I am very happy with it. Putting it together was about as easy as putting together a chair could be, it took me about 15-20 minutes. The instructions consist of 6 steps, read all of them before starting because that's always how you should read instructions (life advice, you're welcome) After constructing this chair, I sat in it, as I planned from the beginning. It feels like a very functional chair. I like that you can lean with it, and rock with it. You can adjust height. I specifically wanted something with arms that folded up, this one has arms that do that. If you are super boujee and the type who requires some ridiculous material and comfort padding, don't buy this, but also nothing will make you happy so maybe you should buy it and just be unhappy. If you're normal and you want a quality computer chair with adequate levels of comfort, folding arms, adjustable height and rocking abilities plus good lumbar support (hopefully most people) buy this chair. It's great. Seriously. I see people nitpicking. This is a $130 computer chair. The material is fine. The comfort does the job. I am beyond happy with this chair and would absolutely recommend it to someone who wants an affordable and functional computer/office chair. If you're a picky scrooge nothing, in all reality, will make you happy - so good luck. I love this chair. Checks all of my boxes. Cheers! PS: Check the date of my review, if I never come back and re-review, its because this chair continued to be a chair and I maintained a high level of happiness with its functionality. I will only ever return to this review if something goes terribly wrong/upsets me that is at the legitimate fault of the chair. Cheers!

this chair has been good to me
It's been over 3 months now and I have to say, this chair has been good to me. I should mention that I am 6'1". The contour of the back provides the right amount of support. It feels natural without being uncomfortable like some other chairs in the mid and lower price range. The mesh material making up the back and the base helps to keep you cool and ventilated as well. Important for those long hours working or gaming at your PC. The arms are not adjustable, but they do swing up out of the way if you prefer not to have them down for some reason or you need the extra space to get in and out of your chair. Remember that the arm rests are for support of your arms only so don't rest your weight on the arm rest when sitting down or getting up. They are not designed to support you in that way. The chair is very sturdy and easily assembled, although I would caution to keep the bolts loose as you're working. Don't fully tighten anything until you've got the main part of the chair assembly (minus the base) fitted together. I'll admit to making that mistake and found myself working harder than I should have. This is an excellent chair and being somewhat mid-range in price I find it to be better than most. I would have expected something like this to cost more. It's a bargain and if you have Prime then it's almost a 5-finger discount.

Great task chair, love the movable arm rests.
For those concerned about building: The chair arrived well packaged to avoid damage during shipping, parts separated into a few baggies to make it easier to find the things needed. The instructions consist of one page, half of which details the parts you should have. It takes some muddling through the 5 pictured steps and handling parts to figure out which should go where (example: two sets of plastic caps that are angled differently but otherwise look the same) but the entire process for me took about 30 minutes and my building experience is a few pieces of furniture from Ikea. It'll be easier to have 2 people to build it (mainly for one person to hold/stabilize parts) but I managed well-enough on my own. My advice during building is to only partially screw in parts or place in caps until you're sure that's where the parts should be. An example is I accidentally placed an armrest backward and took a minute to switch it out, but that was more me trying to speed through building so I could sit in my new chair sooner. I've had the chair for a month now and it is fairly sturdy. My 240-pound brother is comfortable on the chair and did not feel like it was going to give. He's going to get one for himself. The wheels roll smoothly, even on carpet (just takes a little more effort to roll). I love that the armrests can swivel up and that was the feature that I really bought this chair for. I have a small workspace at home and hated always having to adjust my chair height so I would be able to push the chair in without scraping my desk. Now I can choose to have no armrests, one armrest, or both armrests! Swiveling up/down the armrests is a little stiff at first but they loosen up over time. I live in the desert and having a mesh back and mesh-fabric seat is definitely a plus. I've noticed feeling less hot compared to sitting in my previous pleather desk chair (more cost-effective than cranking up the A/C). The seat and armrests have plenty of cushion and although the seat is scooped to better accommodate one's backside, I find it comfortable to sit cross-legged for those like me who cannot just sit in one position. Speaking of comfort, this chair has decent lumbar support and is comfortable even after 4-hours of sitting and typing essays. I do not have any back issues so I cannot speak for those who suffer from back problems. I only have a couple things of concern. I would warn against lifting the chair by the seat until you have put some time into sitting on it. The seat is not anchored to the gas lift column by screws (not sure if this is usually the case). Rather, the column inserts into a hollowed portion of the seat plate which it seems would need some weight and the power of gravity to really seal the column in. The material used for the seat and armrest covers is a fabric that is fairly rough. It may just be rough due to cutting the fabric to get the mesh-effect but be careful sliding bare skin on the chair/armrests as you could get something akin to carpet burn. However, the fabric does feel durable and hopefully will become more supple with use.

Great budget chair - Breathable - Love the flip up arms!
I have had this chair for a couple of weeks now. The reason I bought this particular chair: 1) The arms flip up so I can put it under my desk 2) The back is mesh so it is breathable (had leather chairs in the past that made me sweat) 3) It was under $100 which was my budget This chair fit all my requirements very well. It is very comfortable for me. Please note that when you sit upright in the chair, the shape of the back, which protrudes a bit in the lumbar region for support and is not adjustable, may make you feel like you have to lean back to have your back against the chair. For me it is perfect because I tend to slouch slightly anyway. I love the breathability of the back of the chair. No more sweating and therefore I am comfortable sitting in this chair for hours. It was relatively easy to put together, just do not over tighten the screws that hold the arms to the seat. The bolts are going through plastic... The chair is easy to raise and lower and to allow the chair to rock back and forth or not. It also has a tensioner for the rocking motion. When I first started using the chair, at first I did not think it would rock, only moving slightly and making a horrible noise. Then, I figured out you had to pull the handle out to the side to allow the rocking. Then it was very fluid with no odd noises. And I am not a petite guy (220lbs). I have not had the chair long enough to comment on its durability, but will update the review if there is anything to report in that regard.

Mid back with leather seat/arm rests
I've only had this chair for about 2 months now and at the time of purchase, it was $109.19. With that being said, keep in mind that I haven't been able to test out its durability and longevity quite enough. The chairs I've had before this were also within the same price range and weren't that great, so I can't compare it too anything particularly great. This chair is honestly amazing to me. The back mesh allows good air flow and the arc of it really fits the shape of my back extremely comfortably. I'm 5' 8" and about 160 lbs, so this is based on those measurements in case you need some idea of if it's the right size. I thought I would be bothered without support for my head, but honestly I haven't noticed it for the most part. The leather seat and arm rests are comfortable as well. When I first used the chair, I was a little disappointed by how the seat was just extremely firm, but I think that firmness is actually just right at the point. It gives way just enough to be comfortable, while being firm enough to not make you feel like you're sinking into the seat. The arm rest is similar in this regard. My main issue with the arms is that you can't adjust the height, but its at a good height for me, so it doesn't bother me. The arms are on a swivel that just lets you move them out of the way, similar to how arms move on chairs in airplanes. The assembly was extremely easy. On top of the fact that assembling chairs are easy in general, they offer an extra sense of convenience by labeling all of the screws, covers, etc. By the way, make sure you don't just dump out all of the screws and small parts you're going to use when assembling the chair because then you lose the convenience of the labels. I had absolutely no trouble in the assembly. The only thing was that it seemed like one of the arms push up closer to the back of the chair than the other, but it wasn't too noticeable. As for how smooth the chair rolls around, it's very smooth. It's on top of a low quality plastic mat, so it should move around very smoothly, so I can't really give an accurate idea of just how smoothly it rolls. I highly recommend this chair for anyone looking for an office chair in the low $100 range. You honestly cant go wrong with it. If it ends up being not durable, I'll try to remember to come back to mention that. Edit: I am updating this review on 11/1/2020. I got the chair early May of 2020. I still think this chair is good for the price, but I dropped the review from 5 stars to 3 stars because now the seat itself is not cushioned very well and that is a pretty big deal considering that might be the most important part of the chair. The cushion has squished so much that it barely provides any comfort for my bottom anymore. The rest of the chair is amazing still, but the bottom cushion is certainly not enough to support most people for long periods of time. For reference, I am about 170 lbs, which honestly isn't an unreasonable weight to expect a chair to support for a long time.

A price efficient chair without comprises
TLDR: Looking for a functional chair? Buy this very solid and comfortable chair. I'll cover the basics in the quickest and most thorough way I know how. This was purchased 01.25.16. I average about 8-12 hours a day depending on work. It is worth noting that I am fairly average weight (160 lbs) and height (5'11) 1. Support: This is the most important feature of chairs in my opinion. Due to a neck injury, I needed a robust chair that could aid my posture. The mesh back support is great. I spend a great deal of time hunched over my computer for my job, and this chair has reduced this problematic behaviour. My back is supported and my neck injury is almost entirely healed. Truly could not be happier in this regard. The seat cushion is very supportive and comfortable. I do use a Seat Solution cushion Seat Solution Orthopedic Seat Cushion , but this is only to extend the life time of the chair. I should note the cushion provided on the chair is nice, and I used it exclusively for a few months before a pilonidal cyst made the cushion necessary ( the chair did NOT cause the cyst). It also aided in my pursuit of better posture. These two products together are wonderful. 2.Aesthetics: It looks just like it does in the picture. Nothing too fancy, but very functional. The leather quality is nice, and has held up well to my frequent use. 3: Features: Not a whole lot of features. You can adjust seat height, and back rest (whether locked or unlocked). 4 Value: If you are looking for a functional masterpiece of a chair, look no further. May not have all the bells and whistles of a higher price chair, but I assure you the comfort is well worth it. A supportive functional chair at this price is amazing. Overall: Buy it is you are looking for a supportive and cost effective purchase. If this is all the matters to you, you will love this chair as much as I do.

Perfect budget chair
Chair took 10 minutes to put together. Super comfortable. Great back support. I spent over an hour going through trusted websites and “best office/gaming chairs 2024” but it seems their idea of a “budget chair” is now $200. I had a $400 Secret Labs Titan for a few years and it was pretty nice before the arm rests started to deteriorate. Also, really don't want to spend $400 or even $200 on another chair right now. I looked through probably 50 chairs on amazon before finding this one, putting it in my cart along with 2 others, and then continued looking through another 20-30. Then carefully looked through reviews one more time and decided on this one. Very happy I did. This chair is sturdy, comfortable, rolls smoothly, and has good support. The screws even come with red loctite. I’ll end up spending a lot of free time playing games and watching youtube in this chair and I look forward to it. Very happy with this chair. 5’10”, 200 lbs, perfect size for me.

The "Goldilocks" Office Chair for those on a budget
I spent a lot of time looking at office chairs. I mean, A LOT of time. I started with a blank canvas and wanted to see what would be better than the $50 chair I was currently sitting it. It looks fine and has some padding, but really isn't good for sitting 4-6 hours straight in. RESEARCH So, do you go with the "luxury" high end chairs? What can you get for under $300? Under $200? - In the end I decided that I really didn't need all of the features of the top-end ergonomic chairs (synchro-tilt, 3-way adjustable arm rests, adjustable lumber support, premium headrest, premium materials) ($800-2500 chairs) - think Aeron, Steelcase, etc. - I also decided I didn't want to spend $300-800 for one of the luxury ergonomic "wannabes" that LOOK like the high-end chairs and offer similar functionality, but with lower quality materials and build (and durability). This range also included used high end chairs like the Steelcase 2 because shopping for them on eBay could be hit and miss (though many discussion groups I saw loved this option). - I finally decided that for 4-6 hours a day, 3-days a week, I just wanted a chair that was comfortable on my bottom, was height-adjustable, had some tilt / tension control, and had arm rests that could flip out. My chairs tend to do double-duty as extra dining room chairs and the foldable arm rests are critical for that. The price range for these chairs were in the $80-180 range, and I looked at about a dozen different ones on Amazon that had decent reviews (and a lot of them). This was my "Goldilocks" range for a chair - not too expensive, not dirt cheap, "just right". I ended up ordering the blue fabric on black chair because I liked the look (about $125). The white chairs with fabric seem really popular (blue/white was $180!). After I ordered, the black leather seat chair was only $90. This seems like a really good deal. Anyway, the chair arrived today and here is my detailed review (so far): PACKAGING & ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS I have included pictures of everything that came out of the 33 lb. package. I like the fact that all of the small parts (screws, washers, caps) were packaged together with a code (A, B, C, D etc.) The instructions referenced the parts code, so it was easy to follow the instructions to assemble the chair. I was very meticulous, and it took me about 40 minutes by myself. Parts of the instructions were vague about what and when the screws should be fully tightened and what they mean by "be sure the cylinder column cap has been taken off" (there was no cap as far as I could tell). I did see a few reviews where people complained about the assembly because they had some physical limitations. Good God, man, if it's that bad, go buy a chair at Home Depot and pay them $15 to assemble it for you! In this day and age though, a 3-minute video helps immensely if they had done one, but I suppose you then have to do it in multiple language. In any case, I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars. FIT, FUNCTION, APPEARANCE and COMFORT I would say (as other reviews have stated) this chair LOOKS really nice. The blue adds some color to my office, and the chair has a modern look - something more than the $125 I paid for it. The height adjustment works fine, as does the recline function and tension, though here, a short video on how to use it would have helped. The seat and back rest are very comfortable, but there is no separate lumbar support cushion - just the curve in the lower back for that. If you really crave lumbar support and functions, look elsewhere. The chair also glides very smoothly compared to my old one. But that's because dirt and dog hair haven't fouled up the wheels yet. Alls this is good for 4 out of 5 stars. LONG-RANGE PLANS So, for now, I think this is a keeper unless something drastic happens with the chair in the next couple of weeks. I think I will get black rubber or polyurethane caster wheels to protect my hardwood floors though. Check the date of this review - 6/3/2024. If anything major changes, I will update the review. Otherwise, assume that the chair is still doing great. I hope I get 5-6 good years out of it at least. Would be ecstatic with that.

Great chair for the price
Nothing fancy but a well made chair for this price point. Assembly took about 10 minutes, simple and painless. I’m a larger guy at 6’3 and am very comfortable in this chair. I’m very conscious of my posture and this chair allows me to both be comfortable and sit with good form

Great quality
Wasn’t sure how good the quality was going to be, normally I would prefer to inspect in Person before purchase. The chair arrived a day late, which was actually a real bummer, coz I paid expedited delivery (got refunded) for a reason. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. The damn thing arrived in Melbourne 4 days before it was delivered, some how the delivery agents took a month of sundays to get their act together. Anyways, after it finally arrived, it was easy to assemble, it is very solid and functional and looks great. The negative I would say are the casters that are very tight and don’t roll at all easily without actually sitting in the chair. But that is of no great concern, I wasn’t planning on doing any corridor drag races.

Easier to assemble than the reviews.
I had no trouble putting this chair together in about 25 mins - and solo. So far the squeak mentioned in the reviews hasn’t happened. I did take the advice of another reviewer and upgrade to the rollerblade wheels right away to save my carpet. I’m super happy with the results. Good value for the price.

Bargain and quite good, well designed
No fault here, it’s just not a tall super comfy sturdy kind of chair that would add 100 quid to the price. Best most straightforward assembly I have experienced in 30 years. F the money, with pleasing design and grey colour, spot on, I would buy it again.
