No, that won't work. The easiest option is to buy a WiFi Speaker. This one (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0798VL5NY) was reported by many to have success. Don't expect it to work as Alexa device like echo (not good review on this feature), but works well as SmartThings announcer. Another option is to use an old Android phone to pair with the Bluetooth speaker and download an app to serve as SmartThings announcer. You can Google it, a lot of people talking about this.
