Quality Control Issues
I have had the same type and style Timberland Boat Shoe already twice in the past. They lasted quite a long time and I really liked them. Recently, I ordered a new pair of those same shoes.Unfortunately, I had to return the pair I received given that the left shoe was a little warped and visually different from the right shoe, despite the same size on the labels inside the shoes. A few days later when receiving the replacement order I again found the very same issue, and again the problem with the left shoe. The front of the left shoe warped a little to the left, the grommets not on the same level as with the right shoe, overall very noticeable.I wrote Timberland Customer Services but have yet to receive any response. I will update the rating accordingly if this gets sorted out, but with that kind of care and quality control up to now, I am just disappointed.

Well made boat shoe.
Beautifully made boat shoes, the leather is supple and of high quality. The stitching is perfect. The soles are extremely grippy....I like the multitude of zig-zag slits in the sole that expand when it flexes. The laces are great quality. There are no horrible seams in the shoe to rub a toe or ankle. I was surprised at how narrow the toe box was though. I thought this would be the 'wide fit' as generally people's toes splay out if they spend a lot of time barefoot, but I think it refers to the section in the middle of the shoe (where the laces are). Anyway the leather is supple enough to allow for the toe box to give a little, but having said that I'd have liked a broader toe box. The last pair of boat shoes I bought (I don't recall the make but they weren't expensive) are still going strong after 20 years of use/abuse, being worn in the sea, left outside in rain etc etc. I hope these Timberland shoes have a similar longevity.

Best boat shoes you can get!
Some of the best boat shoes you can get on the market - agree with other comments that the inner build quality may have deteriorated over time but I typically get through a pair of these once every 2+ years with heavy usage before they give up their look. One comment on sizing - I've had a few pairs and learnt now that the leather will stretch over time to the point where they become loose to wear - so strongly recommend getting a size down (I am UK11 and go for UK10) which will feel very snug at first but after a handful of wears will stretch to being comfy.

Timberland were good, now dreadful
This I my third pair of Timberland boat shoes The first and second were excellent. I was so happy with them that I bought these to replace the existing when they wore out. That day came this week. But the new ones are awful. Timberland have changed the shape. The upper now pushes the big toe sideways, the footbed has a very uncomfortable hump under the ball of the foot, the sole is much thinner. I really cannot wear them.

Not sure if real deal
Bought these before our holiday, the colour of the shoe is completely different to the one I ordered (seems to be common from other reviews) unfortunately they arrived just before our holiday so unable to swap. After my I have worn the shoes, on Day 1 the sole inside has already begun to become unstuck and now the inner sole has rolled up under the arch of the foot. I love Timberland boat shoes, unfortunately I don't think these are the real deal.

A dream come true
I've wanted a pair of these for 30 years or so, and finally got around to buying them. They look and feel fantastic and are an absolute bargain. The one dilemma was choosing the right size. I'm a UK 8 (EU 42) so selected a US 8 1/2 and they are the right side of 'snug' ..... but ....... experience tells me that the leather will 'give' the more I wear them and they will mould around my feet.Love 'em.

Hubby likes them
Bought for my husband who does like sailing shoes. He says they are very comfortable and is currently, ‘breaking them in’ as he wears them without socks so this is a lengthy process but will eventually become like slippers. His words and process, not mine! But he is pleased with them.

Disappointing
As soon as I took these out of the box I knew they were not leather! They looked cheap and shiny, not well made and did not smell of leather. My husband has worn Timberland for years - decades even! - and they bore no resemblance to his other shoes. Very disappointing. I only ordered from here so I could get them quickly for holidays but they’ve gone back
