Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, 6.7 Ounce

Pros: This is my go to face wash soap for travels, as well as, now at home. I used to use the Oil Free Wash, but it was extremely hard to carry on trips. The liquid drips out of the bottle and its almost impossible to close, unless you get one of the different types of covers. However, this thing is much cleaner and less watery as well. It is necessary to use it with quite a bit of water, as it comes out in a cream like paste. This means that unless you actually wash your face there is no way you could use this as a cream. This has kept my acne away for quite some time, as without using this or a different kind of oil free soap the acne comes back fast and furious. I went through about two of these in an entire year, washing twice a day. So, it's not used that fast, but they do go. All in all, a great cleanser for the face. It keeps my acne away, yet at the same time keeps my face clean. Cons: Like other reviewers have stated, this thing can really burn. Although, I have found this thing hurts only when you have extremely dry skin. This is almost never a problem for me, but I do understand where they are coming from.

I've been looking for a great product for my face that doesn't dry it out. I found this product at Target one day on sale and decided to try it out. Since then I have felt so fresh and clean every time I wash my face. I think for my face, it's important to use a thick cleanser rather than the more water-like cleaners. This does the job perfectly. First of all, the smell is great. It feels so smooth and refreshing on my face and after I'm done the fresh feeling continues throughout the night. I highly recommend this product for those who want to have a fresh feeling face but does not have severe acne. I do not have acne but I do get the occasional pimple from time to time. Since I've begun using this product, I have not had any breakouts. I normally got it from Target on days it would be on sale but I realized that it rarely is and sometimes is $7.00. Luckily I discovered it on Amazon and got an extra 5% off when I subscribe.

I never by anything but Neutrogena any more as it always seems to leave my skin the healthiest. I buy this one because it comes with the most product in it and I have never suffered from bad acne. I do however use this facewash daily to prevent the rouge pimple, and in that the product succeeds. I don't know how it works for actual acne, and therefore, cannot personnally recommend it for use as such. For a daily face wash for an adult, I think this product is great and have been sold on it for years.

I used the Neutrogena oil free acne scrub throughout my teenage years, and it worked really well. It has a creamy base, so i figured that since this is from the same line, i would get the same product just without the beads. The main ingredients are indeed the same, but the smell is different! I wonder why they don't use the same smell since it's from the same line. I like the scrub scent more, unless they changed the scent of that one too. It has been almost two years since ive used the scrub, so i don't know. The scent of this wash isn't pleasing. They should make it unscented. After all, no scent is the best scent when it comes to skin care. (unless it smells delicious) Too much menthol is another con. There's menthol in the scrub formula too, but it's not as overwhelming. I think this is what they meant by "new formula - results in one day". Menthol is meant to deliver medicine quicker and more effectively, but dude- it's uncomfortable! Lighten up on the menthol. My skin isn't sensitive; it's actually quite strong, but i can imagine how so much menthol can sway many consumers from this otherwise wonderful product. With that being said, i do like the menthol, i just find the amount too overwhelming. Please change it back to the original formula, Neutrogena! A great thing about this scrub is that it has no dyes! Yay! The scrub has dyes in it to make it orange, which is okay, i guess, but no dyes is best. Once i rinse this off my face, my face feels silky and soft. I like that it has acne medicine in it without being too overdrying. I love cream cleansers. I will be repurchasing this. Another pro is that it is one of neutrogena's more affordable products- yay again! I love Neutrogena, and i find that its products are the only thing that helps me control my acne. (st ives works too, but it's too abrasive for daily use). Salicylic acid, Neutrogena, and I are the perfect trio.

I have had skin problems since puberty and several of the dermatologists I have visited highly recommended this brand to me. I use it twice a day and can say for sure that it helps clear your skin and keep it clear. Everyone comments on how young I look and want to know what I use for skin care. I am 39 and people swear I look in my late 20s.

I don't know how it works with continued use, but I was pleased with how my skin felt after one washing. However I was not pleased with the nasty chemical perfume smell that my face reeked of for the whole day (yes, I rinsed well). If you're sensitive to perfumes don't buy this. If anyone knows of a cream cleanser with both salicylic acid and glycolic acid but no gross scent, please let me know!

The image showing is not the same as the product received which has a new formula sign on the upper right corner. By comparing the new and the old ingredients list,the new formula removed Aloe leaf extract,Anthemis Nobilis flower extract,and Matriciaria flower extract.Even though the active ingredient is still 2% salicylic acid, the inactive ingredients has changed a lot and so are the smell, texture, and the feel. Honestly, the first time,it smells like insect spray but now I get used to it. The new formula has menthol which makes you feel like cold breezed after use. Perhaps, they try to give you a false sense of cleanness. However, I would not buy it again unless it returns to the old formula. New formula sucks.

My husband and I are both prone to breakouts and this is the only face soap we've both been able to use that does the job without drying out our skin. It feels good going on and my skin feels fresh and tingling after I rinse it off. Does a great job controlling breakouts also. Just a really well made product.
