This machine does not have British plug its a USA one but I bought a universal plug converter and the machine works lovely. Easy to use and I made 8 candles today. For a beginner I was very impressed with it all.

Bought this because it has a readout for exact temperature, not just Hi and Low. However, it cannot be used safely in the UK without first plugging it into a step down converter (just purchased for £25). The voltage difference between UK and the US means it would be dangerous to use here. Could damage the device permanently.

Buyer beware and all that, but I thought it would have a UK plug fitted instead of an American one. This isn't as easy as just getting a plug adaptor as the wax melter runs on 120v, so the additional transformer cost nearly as much as the wax melter! So it loses a star as this should be made clear in the listing. Not used it yet but it looks like it will do the job for a bit of batik, the pan is quite shallow but should allow me to dip the tjanting ok

Wrong type of plug and wrong voltage for UK use. Sent it back and got refund quickly.

Wish I'd seen other peoples' warnings before I bought! USA Plug AND look on the bottom, it's 110V-120V so you're likely to blow it up if you chuck a UK plug on it and throw it on our 240V mains! WHY is this being sold in the UK? What a complete waste of time and money!

It cuts out all the time - wouldn’t buy again would’ve sent it back had I realised but only Just started using it. Wouldn’t recommend.

It's a very compact, very easy to use wax melting device that does a decent job. My partner and I wanted to dip our toes into the candle making hobby and it has been an almost essential tool for us to do so. It heats up to any temperature up to the max of 257 °F (125 °C) and can hold at that temperature without any issues. If I had to list any problems, I would mention that it is very small, meaning if you're making candles you can really only do one at a time however for jobs where you don't need or want to add color or fragrance, I imagine you would be able to keep the pot topped off with wax as you work on your project.
