Took about 20 minutes with two of us and longer with three. Was a lot of fun. Kids were screaming with joy. Scuppering someone who you see racing to the castle. First to win three treasures wins. With two players this is quite speedy so you may choose more treasures to win. Really simple. Really fun. We played twice on the first day we opened it. Kept forgetting where things were. Made incorrect guesses. Arghhh was fun. My children are 7 and 13. Even the eldest one loved it which surprised me as I thought he would be too old. He wanted to play for a third time!

Game with elements of different fairy tales. Nice idea. I can recommend.

This is a really fun racing game with memory and light strategy elements for the whole family. It can become quite a competitive race game when 2 adults go head-to-head. The instructions are clear and the rules are straightforward and easy to teach; even to younger children. The components are of good quality and the fairytale artwork of the cards is beautiful and will likely appeal to both younger and older players. Game play is enjoyable and, even though Enchanted Forest is designed for children, it is still fun for adults too.

Great game. Fun for the family or couples

I bought this game for my granddaughter age 5. It seemed simple enough for her age group and the themes were appropriate. However, when we opened it to play, there were no instructions or rule book. That kinda spoiled the moment and it got put aside. What use is a board game without a rule book!? I wonder if anyone else has had this experience? When I went to the product support link from Amazon I couldn’t get help because the game wasn’t even on their extensive product list - so no joy there either. Disappointed!

I got this for my 6yo daughter. We play it together and sometimes her 3yo brother joins in. There are two ways to play the game, and we like the harder version. You basically find or guess where certain iconic fairy tale elements are (e.g. Cinderella’s glass slipper), and make your way through the forest to the castle to claim your reward. It’s great that you can go in any direction, and because you roll 2 dice, you have lots of options. It’s a memory game, a maths game, and a bluffing game. Very impressed with it, especially since the artwork is so beautiful and the design so clever (you even have a little dice tray in the box). I laminated the cards (very thick, by the way), but I’m sure you can find small card sleeves to fit.

The board and pieces are sturdy and well-made. The rules can be understood very quickly, and the game is as fun as it is easy to play. It has good replayability-value since no two game-layouts will be identical. My eight-year-old loves it, and since I love memory games, I love it too.

A great board game I remembered from my childhood. My wife and daughter loved the first game and we can’t stop playing. Great for developing counting skills, memory and strategy. Adaptable rules for kids makes this game easy for them to play. Takes about 20 minutes with three of us. A critically acclaimed game (it was Spiel des Jahres in the 1980s) that has stood the test of time. Can not recommend enough.
