Plasma Ball 6-inches Education and Science, NO Bulb, NOT a Light Source

Lovely gift for 10 year old boy.

Apart from not knowing the longevity of this item, I'm absolutely delighted with this. It's big and very pretty to look at. It's response to touch is mesmerizing. I'm sure there's more to discover with it's audio response too. Bought as a gift, I'll be getting myself one very soon!

Great little item, does exactly what you'd hope. Decent brightness and plenty of zappy bits. The kids love it. The "sound sensitive" mode is fairly useless however, it only really responds if you bang on the table or (much worse) if you bang on the globe, which makes me fearful of a little one trying to get a response and smashing it. They evolve to use tools after a worryingly short time, you know... Other than that though, all positive! It's actually exactly the same one (or at least mine was) they sell in the Science Museum shop at quite a premium to this. So, buy it here and drop a fiver in their donation tub next time you go.

I was very happy with this purchase. It is great for use in the classroom, quite sturdy and easy to use. It was good value for money also, and is safe to use.

Brought for six year old nephew. He loves it,so did my older children and myself when we tested it out before wrapping.Good fun with best light and colour in a darkened room.

7 year old girl and 9 year old boy thought this was the coolest thing they had ever seen. Especially when it danced to music. Hours of fun sitting on the floor around this.

My daughter not opened this yet, birthday present however looks a great all round product, so pleased with purchase and price.

It is a reasonable product and as you'd expect with this type of thing very entertaining for the whole family, big and little kids alike. My only problem is the poor quality nature of it, at this sort of price I suppose it's only to be expected that it's not very robust and I had to do a minor repair when it came out of the box with a faulty connection where you insert the power supply. Overall I am satisfied.....just.

Great size for a desktop plasma ball. Everything about this works as expected. Good brightness and the effect can really encompass the whole of your hand. Unfortunately it did not come with an Australian power supply which loses a star.

This item came with a UK plug and was not at all as advertised. I contacted the seller to try to get another cord (the cord attaches separately) and was told they would look into it. After not being able to get a response from their management I was told I could just return the item. Even with an adapter the voltage from North American outlets is not enough to make this item function properly. It should not be sold in Canada.
