The jaws align perfectly, holding small center drills all the way up to large 5/8-inch silver and deming bits with an absolute vice like grip. The included chuck key fits tightly into the gear teeth, allowing you to torque down on the bits easily so they do not slip when drilling into dense hardwoods or solid steel rods. A nicely machined 5/8" keyed MT2 chuck, very robust and good quality, with key and JT6 taper adapter at a good competitive price - I recommend this drill or small lathe chuck.
