Days of Wonder | Ticket to Ride United Kingdom | Board Game Expansion Only

Love this expansion, especially (and surprisingly) the Pennsylvania variant. I bought this mainly because it features familiar local places names which I thought would be fun for the kids, and to add some additional variety to our Ticket to Ride games (we used to play Europe with the 1912 expansion) of course, but ended up really loving this version.The UK variant, which was the primary reason for buying, is nice but feels like a quite a lot of hassle for not a lot of additional fun. The Pennsylvania version with it's railroad stocks system though is really great and has quickly become my favourite version of the game, the wife and kids love it as well. What would really make this version perfect for me is if you could play it on the Europe map with original European railroad companies, but that's for a future version perhaps :)In any case, great expansion, absolutely worth the money, especially if you can buy it with a good discount!

This adds some layers of complexity that make the game very interesting.Takes about 5 minutes to learn- easier if you play a quick trial game.Locomotive cards or ‘Specials’ are key in this game.One key point is that on every build move you need to check not only if you have the right coloured cards but also the right permit cards. A couple of times you forget.Overall great game - the only thing you need from the original are the train pieces.

I can't get enough of this game, it's such fun for family gatherings.

As a big enthusiast for the standard game (Europe), but wanting something different, we bought this expansion pack and haven't been disappointed.All it uses from the main game is the plastic pieces to go on the board and the counters - everything else is new. We've only played the UK board so far, but it really stretches the game. You throw away the idea of a longest route, but gain all the different technologies, needed, for example, to put down a route longer than 2, or to get out of England into one of the other countries. The result has been for us more thoughtful and strategic play, and games that are a lot closer in outcome (so rarely sure until the route tickets have been added up).It looks a little overwhelming when you first get out all the tech cards, but given a couple of games we were really enjoying it. If you not played the basic game before, I'd get the hang of that first before adding this one. Having done that, expect to become addicted!

Ticket to Ride is an absolute hit in our household! It's easy to learn and endlessly entertaining. The quality of the components is top-notch, and the game strikes a perfect balance between luck and strategy.I love the multiple playing styles it accommodates, keeping every match fresh and exciting. It's a must-have for any game night—perfect for both beginners and seasoned players. Highly recommended for its sheer enjoyment and replay value!

Great expansion but you do need either the original game or the Europe one to play it.

A good game but it can not be used without having the original Ticket to Ride game. I felt that it should be a complete game in itself for the cost!

Expansión muy buena para el juego Ticket to Ride (Aventureros al Tren, en su versión española). Es importante remarcar que es necesario tener un juego base ya que este como expansión no incluye trenes ni cartas de tren, tan solo mapas nuevos y cartas de destino.

Melhor expansão de ticket to ride! São 2 mapas com jogabilidades bem diferentes e excelente fator replay. Em um deles vc a cada rota ganha ações das companhias que podem mudar todo a pontuação e no outro vc compra as autorizações para fazer titãs maiores, além de ganhar diversos bônus.
