Excellent Iron, BUT:The first thing to do when you get it, is cut off the foreign plug, and bin the adaptor. The adaptor is dangerous. It can cause a Line to Earth short.I presume you know how to fit a UK standard mains plug. But before you start cutting the cable, beware, it is in a woven sleeve, with jute packing. If you try to handle it like a normal plastic lead, it will unweave in your hands, and be extremely difficult when you try to fit the new plug.Assuming that you will cut the cable directly as it enters the foreign plug, get some superglue, and apply it liberally to the woven sleeving, about 2", (5cm) from the plug. This, when it has cure will prevent the sleeve from unravelling. You might choose also to bind it here with cotton thread.Carefully pick apart the cut end to reveal the conductors. The are rubber sleeved. Leave Earth, and Neutral at full length, but cut the Live lead short. REASON: If the plug is pulled off the cable you want the Live wire to break first!With a UK plug fitted, the Iron gave no further trouble, and is performing excellent service.

Excellent iron. Recommended by Which and rightly so. I found the cable length perfectly adequate, unlike some reviewers. It irons very smoothly and does an excellent job of removing the creases on a wide range of items and fabrics. I would recommend it.

My old Philips iron was worn out so this was an obvious choice. This is far a superior iron. It's easier to fill, is much hotter & produces more steam if required. I live in a hard water area & the iron deals with that in a very clever way. The only slight downside is that the flex is shorter than I would have expected but I've now got used to that.

I bought this to replace an Azur that had given up the ghost after about 8 years (pretty good going I thought!) - the iron itself is fine, a very good product, but the cable is too short. I plug it into the wall and have one end of the board about 2 foot away from the wall (socket is about 1 foot from the ground) and the cord pulls tight when I move the iron to the pointy end of the ironing board. My old azure had a cable about 3 foot longer so I guess this is a cost-cutting exercise, what a shame as it's a real pain and now I have to use it with an extention lead for that extra foot or so. Bit harsh for 3* but it's a basic functionality that's been spoiled by a little bit of skimping.

I've always wanted a good iron but I've always waited until the old one packed up then rushed out to buy the first one I liked.Irons beautifully and has all the features you could want.

I use my iron a lot when sewing, as well as ironing of a domestic chore nature! I chose this iron because it comes second in the Which? review and the winner was too expensive. The controls are good - easy to use and ergonomically designed, good head of steam, pointy nose gets into corners. My only complaint is that the cord is rather short.

An excellent iron, much better than my previous iron for getting creases out of shirts. Plenty of steam!

... schon immer mit Philips sehr zufrieden!Habe diesmal nur auf die Wattzahl (1600) geachtet, bedauerlicherweise hat das Bügeleisen keine "Plus" Bügelsohle, daher ein bisschen schwer fälliger ....

Questo ferro stira bene come quella a caldaia, fa una buona quantità di vapore che permette di stirare bene anche lino e oxford. Ovviamente, non ha la caldaia e devi riempirlo spesso, circa ogni mezz'ora (o poco più) usando il vapore sulla posizione ECO, che è cmq buona per la maggior parte delle stoffe. La piastra è molto scorrevole e mi piace di più di quella classica in acciaio. C'è una cosa che invece trovo un pò scomodo, hanno fatto la plastica per vedere il livello dell'acqua troppo scuro e non si capisce bene quando è riempito al livello massimo, così devo metterne un pò meno per essere sicura di non andare oltre. Mentre la posizione del tasto per extra vapore è sotto la manopola ed è molto più comoda di quelli posizionati sopra. Per il resto, ho pagato meno di quaranta euro e credo sia un prezzo super per un ferro con questa potenza e posso anche sorvolare sul piccolo difetto! L'ho comprato per sostituire quello a caldaia mentre è in riparazione e sono molto soddisfata! Lo riacquisterei, anche costasse qualcosa in più!

Es la primera plancha "cara" que compro y estoy muy contenta. Tiene bastante fuerza de vapor y plancha bien en la primera pasada. El algodon se le resiste, pero al igual que en centros de planchado que había usado antes.Es de facil manejo y no pesa mucho. El depósito de agua es un poco pequeño si haces coladas grandes. El enchufe es muy apropiado porque tiene una forma especial para enchufar y desenchufar muy práctica. Se calienta super rápido.En definitava es una muy buena compra y en cabeza de muchas comparativas de relación calidad-precio.
