If you’ve had both, how does this compare to the 3.0. I am weighing up replacing my 3.0 or buying this model. (Leaving cost out of the equation).

I have had both machines. The Pro 95 is a lot more convenient to use as it heats up faster and you do not have to wait for it to cool down before refilling (but see below), and in my view cleans better, It also uses less electricity so is more economical. More tool storage too, so almost a total win for the Pro 95. Not quite, the round shape of the 3.0 makes it more convenient to drag around while you are cleaning and the handle feels stronger. I also like the fact that when you empty the 3.0, the calcium comes out of the boiler. I worry that the Pro 95 has no means of removing the calcium from the boiler. I use 2 KalStop vials per 5 liters, double the recommended. I spoke to Polti customer service who said that was ok. Overall, I think the Pro 95 wins it, but it would certainly not be worth upgrading to the Pro 95 unless you were in the market for a new machine anyway.

Do I need a plug converter or a power converter as well to use this in Canada?

Canadian power supply is only 120 volts, unless unit is dual voltage it will not work. You will have to look into power converters
